Delete Your Wedding or User Account

If something isn’t working with Joy or if something feels off, we’re here to help. Just send us a message. But if you’re ready to move on, here’s how you delete your event website and your user account.

Delete your event website

Here's how:

  • Log in to your account using the email associated with your Joy website. If you forgot your password, use the Forgot password option.

  • Go to the Event Settings page in your event dashboard.

  • In the General tab, scroll to the bottom.

  • Click “I want to delete my wedding on Joy.”

  • A confirmation box will pop up.

  • Type "DELETE" and then click Delete My Joy Wedding.

Heads up! Deleting your wedding is permanent.


This will remove your event, photos, and all guest access from Joy.

Before you click Delete Event, be sure to save anything you’d like to keep onto your personal computer.

If you just want to take your site offline for a while, you can turn it off by hiding it under Website Visibility.

Delete your user account

Once your event website is deleted, you can delete your user account.

Here’s how:

  1. Confirm that all events tied to your account have been deleted.

  2. Go to your Account page.

  3. Scroll down and click Delete Account.

  4. Type DELETE, then click Delete Account. You’ll be signed out, and you’ll receive a confirmation email.
