Story
I never saw him, but Jesus swears he had seen me in high school many times. It wasn’t until one day while skipping class we met at a park; I actually asked him if he could buy me some Hot Cheetos after talking for a bit. At first, I didn’t like him, I always thought he was a conceded guy. Somehow we still became close friends always hanging out together. He would buy me everything and do everything for me because we were “best friends”. Yes, I friend-zoned him! All of our friends in common and my friends would tell me that he liked me but I denied it. Until the night of Sept. 23, 2009 he went for it and asked me to be his girlfriend; I thought about it but t said “yes”. We would already always hang out, so why not?! Little did I know that I would fall in love with him.
FUN FACT: One night when Abigail and I were dating, I asked her to come outside for a gift. I was really excited to share a kiss with her, but since we were only dating, I had limits. So I reached into the car and took out a giant Hershey's chocolate kiss! GIANT! I shared a few words I had prepped, 'I've been dying to kiss you, but since I can't do that yet, take this huge kiss'. I'll be honest - in my mind, it had worked out to be romantic enough where she'd say, 'aww'(and of course, kiss me for real!). Well - that didn't happen. She immediately said 'I DON'T LIKE CHOCOLATE'. One of her friends heard and said, "Abby! You're not supposed to say that!' to what Abby said, 'WELL I DON'T LIKE CHOCOLATE!'. She may not have yelled it as loud as the caps make it seem, but it felt that way. In case you're wondering, no, I didn't get a kiss. And that, is how I found out Abby doesn't like chocolate.
