Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

BOOKING UPDATE

We are aware that the rates listed on our booking site have gone up. Considering the number of guests who had not booked their accommodations yet, we reached a deal with an outside vendor. We have a limited room block available for anyone who has not yet booked. If interested, please call Kirsten Schuchart with PERX at 1-800-207-5148 or email her at kschuchart@perx.com. Rooms are on a first come first serve basis at this lower rate.

Deposits are due by April 1. Final Payments due May 15.

Note about booking:

We strongly encourage anyone who can to begin the booking process as soon as possible. As we enter the holiday seasons, resorts are notorious for price jumps and extending the minimum nights stay. (Currently at 3, can go up to 4 or 5) We expect the rates to go up the closer we get to the big day. The only way to lock in your rates are to put down your deposit. The balance is not due until May 25, 2023.

When is the RSVP deadline?

We would appreciate an RSVP as soon as possible. The deadline for complete bookings is May 25, 2023.

Are kids welcome?

While we welcome children to be a part of this trip, we ask that they not attend the wedding and reception. Should you choose to bring your children, please plan for someone responsible to stay with them while you attend the wedding.

What will the weather be like?

The weather in Cancun in July is usually a steady 80 degrees with a sea breeze.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes. If you need special accommodations, please reach out and let us know.

What should I wear?

Resort semi-formal.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception is indoors.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

Will there be dancing?

Well, of course! Be sure to bring a backup pair of comfortable shoes.

Do you have flights reserved?

Originally, we were working on group rates. Unfortunately, it is much more cost effective for everyone to book independently. (This also allows for everyone to make their own plans versus being forced onto the same flight as everyone else.) We recommend setting a google alert for flights as Google will alert you when there is a change in flight cost for your route. This way, you can book when you are comfortable.

Will I need a passport?

Yes! You will need a valid passport in order to enter Mexico. Your passport expiration date cannot be within 6 months after your planned trip to Cancun, Mexico. If you do not have one, please start the process as soon as possible as some wait times are 3 to 4 months to get your passport back. Below are links to learn more about obtaining your passport. Please select the link to the country of citizenship.

US citizens: travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply.html
JA citizens:
UK citizens: www.gov.uk/apply-first-adult-passport

Will I need a visa

Mexico does not require visas for entry for citizens of the US or Jamaica. You will need to fill out a travel card upon arrival for customs. Beyond that, you should be just fine with only your passport. If, however, you are a non-US-citizen that will need to travel through the US, you may require other travel documents. Please check in with your air-carrier to confirm you have all that you need.

What about Covid?

Mexico does not have a Covid-19 entry requirement. While we encourage our guests to be vaccinated against Covid-19, it is not a requirement to enter the country. The resort offers this test at no cost on site should you require one to return home. Please keep in mind that we are over 1 year out from the big day and that things can change. Again, we will do our best to keep you posted.

Can I stay at another resort?

We kindly ask that you book your stay with us at Dreams Vista Cancun using the link on this site. A deposit of $150 per person is all that is needed to confirm your room and the balance is due May 25, 2023. All guests must stay at Dreams Vista Cancun as all wedding events will take place there and you will not be able to attend any wedding event if you choose to stay elsewhere.

Is transportation covered between CUN airport and the resort?

You will have the opportunity to add your transportation to your room booking when placing your deposit. Please note that this will be with a third-party company.

Can I stay longer than the 3 days set aside for the wedding

Of course! You will be able to book any set of dates surrounding the wedding while still using our group rate. Please keep in mind the minimum is 3 nights.

How do I get to the wedding events?

All wedding activities will be taking place at Dreams Vista Cancun, Mexico. Neither the ceremony or reception will be taking place on the beach/on sand.

Can I bring a plus one?

We want everyone to have fun. We have issued invitations for specific guests. You are free to have a companion join you for the trip. Please understand your invitation is for you to join us for our celebration. We would prefer not to meet any new faces on this day. Thank you for your understanding.

Where are you registered? Can I bring a gift?

Your presence is enough for us. If you still would like to gift something, feel free to contribute to our honeyfund. We ask that you refrain from bringing gifts to Cancun as it will be very difficult for us to return home with all of them. You can find out honeyfund at www.honeyfund.com/wedding/BNB2023

Wedding Requests:

We understand that we are asking you to take a trip with us and we do not take this lightly. That being said, there are a few things we want you to remember;

Your invitation is your invitation. We understand the urge to share our big news but we kindly ask that you remember our invitation is for the person it was addressed to. Please, no extra guests unless approved by the couple.

We’re going to Cancun! You will not be occupied by wedding events the entire weekend so please take advantage of your stay. We encourage you to stay an extra day or two and maybe take an excursion.

Please book your stay through this website. We want to be able to keep our group together so please refrain from booking outside of the link. Should you find a better price elsewhere, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing us at BrittanyandNardel@gmail.com. Destify will price match but only if they are made aware within 24 hours of placing your deposit. Let us know if you need assistance with this.

Wedding Requests continued...

A few more things...

Be cute and comfortable: If you know anything about us, you know we like to have fun. We expect your presence on the dance floor so please chose something to wear that you will be able to dance the night away in.

Please make sure all of your information is accurate in your RSVP. This includes your name, email address. We will be using email to send out updates as we get closer to the big day.

We will not be mailing out anything beyond our invitation. We understand it is early but given the nature of the location of the wedding, we felt it best to give our guest as much notice as possible to prepare for our big day.

Cancun, Mexico is an international destination for all our guests. If you do not have a passport, please get one as soon as possible.
