Story
It’s was March 2020, the very weekend before the shutdown. Chris had some friends in town from his home state of South Carolina and they attended a bar crawl to celebrate a birthday. After the crawl the group went back to Chris’s house for an after party. One of Candace’s friends-now bridesmaid, Lex- knew folks in the group that we’re celebrating the birthday weekend and invited Candace to meet her at Chris’s place as the two had made plans for a night on the town. Candace agreed, thinking it would just be a quick stop before the two would head out for the night. Little did she know she was about to meet the love of her life!
Chris’s phone rings and his doorman says, “I have a Candace here to see you.” He then turns to the room and screams over the music, “Does anyone know a Candace!”. “Yes that’s my friend,” replied Lex so Chris proceeded to tell the doorman to let her up. Little did he know that the love of his life was about to walk through that door as well.
A few moments later Candace opened the door and Chris stopped in his tracks and said “Oh! That’s Candace!” and proceeded to “make his move”. He was focused and made it no secret that he was interested in getting to know Candace.
Chris and Candace spent that Saturday night talking, laughing, dancing and enjoying each other’s energy. The next day they met up with each other at a Day Party as the bday celebration continued. There were a few drinks and maybe a VIP section. The two had their first kiss in that VIP section while rapper Roddy Ricch was playing! If you know ‘The CD’s’ this doesn’t surprise you at all. This is also why their 2 year old Rottweiler and Lab mix is so honorably named Rottie Ricch!! The kiss stunned them both and the feelings would never decrease from that moment.
The very next day Monday to world shut down! That marked the beginning of their Pandemic Love Story!!

Getting In
We recommend flying into Cancun International Airport!
Airport Transportation
There are lots of ways to get to the Hotel, which is in the Hotel Zona of Cancun (20min ride from airport):
Booking through our Travel site will secure a shuttle service to the hotel.
For rental car we recommend Avis, which is relatively inexpensive for a weekend. We rented from here and had a pleasurable experience from pick up to drop off.
For reliable, scheduled (private) taxi pick up from and to the airport, I recommend Cancun Airport Shuttle. I personally used them before and they are very reliable.
Taxis are readily available at the airport if you want to hitch a ride.
Royalton CHIC Suites Cancun Resort & Spa
This is where we are having our room block, wedding and weekend of events. Please book through our travel agent at the website link below, so we can ensure you are confirmed. Benefits being you can create a payment plan, hotel welcome amenities and credits.

If you are looking to stay at another hotel, there are dozens of hotels in the Hotel Zona of Cancun; however we do not recommend this as you will need to buy a day pass each day you plan on visiting the hotel for an event. Day Passes are ~$130 per person.
