Story
Despite the odds, and perhaps running into one another, it was not until two close friends brought them together at a Washington Capitals hockey game did Lauren and Andrew’s worlds collide.
The two were running in the same circles for nearly ten years – attending the College of Charleston, working in law firms in Charleston post-college, and relocating to Washington, D.C. at roughly the same time.
Shortly after meeting, the two die-hard fans separately sought out other fans eager to attend an October 2017 Capitals game. The two re-connected when Andrew offered Lauren his spare ticket. They were very excited to find a friend to go to the game together, with a drink beforehand at Bar Deco. While Lauren expected to meet the goofy Capitals fan she had met months before, she was surprised to see a well-dressed, seemingly professional man waiting for her at the bar. Andrew was also there. She soon realized this was more of a formal date than two friends attending a game together.
It took less than a period for the two to recognize that they had much more in common than hockey. In fact, it became evident they found what they had been looking for in a partner their entire lives.
While this has been the love story of Lauren and Andrew, their story would not be what it is today without the love and support of their friends and family. Lauren and Andrew are so incredibly appreciative of all their friends and family and look forward to celebrating this union with them.
