Tidbits

How did you first meet?

In a class called Gospel 101 through our college ministry Salt Co, at the Iowa Memorial Union!

Who made the first move? How?

Jaden messaged Liz and told her she asked good questions in class and to let him know if she ever wanted to discuss them.. smooth Jaden.

What was your most memorable date?

One was right after we got engaged! We went back to the spot (Poppo's cabin) a couple days later and had dinner, drank wine, listened to music, danced around and just enjoyed each other's company being newly engaged.

What's your favorite activity together?

We love to spend time with friends and family, play guitar, play games, go on random adventures outside, have deep conversations, and stargaze :)

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Negril, Jamaica!

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

Second date: After an afternoon of ice skating, Jaden prepared for this date by picking up some groceries the day before for us to make an appetizer of cheesy bread, a main dish of shrimp alfredo, and homemade cheesecake together, and it was all so so good, on top of a wonderful day together. We laugh thinking back on this day, and maybe it was the food that made it good, but maybe we just had a blast.. we realized that date lasted ten hours 😂

We’re on the same page about

What's most important to us. And that's spending time with the people we love most. (You all!) and having the same faith in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. This is the foundation of our love and will be the rock we stand on in our marriage.

We are regulars at

Culver's for free scoopies.

How did you propose?

She thought she was coming to my birthday party at Poppo's cabin and when she got there, she saw three signs with the words "Taken," "His," and "Time," as she drove in (the same words on the engagement ring). She followed a line of lights up to the open doorway of the cabin where I hung hundreds of photos of us with string twine, placed white roses and string lights everywhere, and a plate of sushi and a nice bottle of wine for us to share!

We take pride in

The reason for our faith - the freedom and power that God's love, grace and truth has brought forth in our lives. This is the only thing we know we can depend on for the rest of our lives. Ask us about how we've seen God work in and out of our lives, we would love to share his goodness with you!

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by July 11th, so we can have an accurate headcount for food and seating!

Can I bring a date?

We kindly request RSVPs only for the individuals specifically named on your invitation, as our venue has limited space! Thank you for your understanding.

Are kids welcome?

We absolutely love your little ones, but with limited seating at our venue, and in order to accommodate all the important adults in our lives, we do not have the space to welcome all kids or guests you may want to bring.
If you are unsure if your kids are invited, check the names on your wedding invitation; if your kids are listed, be sure to RSVP for them! Please directly reach out to the bride or groom if you have any concerns or if this prevents you from attending our wedding.

What should I wear?

Cocktail or semi-formal attire! Ladies, this means maybe a summer dress, and gentlemen, anything semi-formal is great :) We are on a farm and you may spend some time outside in grassy areas, so stilettos will not be your friend!

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Iowa, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. Most mid-August days are beautiful! It looks like eastern Iowa has an average August 11th high of 82ºF and low of 63ºF .

We encourage you to look at the weather the week of and prepare accordingly — we will be doing the same!

Where should I park?

There is free parking near the entrance of the farm.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes! Please let our lovely ushers know if any assistance is needed.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be inside mostly, with some outdoor space, weather permitting :)

Whom should I call with questions?

Liz at 319-936-7012 or Jaden at 319-931-9494
