Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
Why Thailand?
Not only is it beautiful but Thailand is a great in-between getaway location from both England and Australia. Its important to both of us that our family and friends get time to spend not only with us but with each other too!
Why the Christmas Period?
As a lot of our family and friends world wide work in, go to and occasionally just generally avoid school and college, there is only really one week of overlapping holidays that everyone has available. As we wanted to accomodate as many people and their families as possible we feel this is the best (and honestly only) option. We know for a lot of people this time of year can be tricky to organise and balance, and we promise that there will be no hard feelings if you can't join us - Just make sure you have a drink on us on the 29th!
What's the plan?
We'll be getting married at Peace Resort Koh Samui, but for more information please visit the travel page. There'll be vows, music, food, alcohol, speeches, kids club and questionable dancing all day.
Just one night?
We're hoping for you to book the wedding venue for one week from the Monday 27th December 2021 - Sunday 2nd January 2021. We'll be having Bucs(Stag) and hen parties that week as well as all sorts of opt in opt out activities, using the resort as a base.
We know that not everyone may want to be part of the whole weeklong party, and that there are lots of amazing islands and countries near by to explore, so we'll make sure that there are places to stay to suit a whole range of tastes and price ranges near by and will negotiate access to our venue , and both shorter and longer date periods to be available for booking at the hotel.
We’ll be celebrating in Thailand for a week before and a week after, so let us know if you’ll be around too!
Are kids welcome?
Only if they're cool.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
The ceremony we want to keep strictly a no phone and social media zone. Once we have uploaded and announced to our family back home that can't join us, we will announce that we are no longer a phone free zone, and invite you to take as many photos, videos, insta stories, tiktoks as possible. You can even use #peacelovejoy if you want to follow how the party is going (god we're so technically advanced)
What should I wear?
The ceremony is going to be on the beach, so make sure you'll be comfortable first and foremost. You can't go wrong with a linen suit, shirt and shorts, or flow-y dresses, sunnies are a must but shoes are optional.
Absolutely no crocs or speedos.
When will we know more?
Please make sure you have RSVP'd and logged on to this website. That way we can keep you up to date with important information regarding flights, travel restrictions etc, etc.
