Story

Growing up my grandmother would often remind me about the time that I tried to pick a baby sister out of a Sear's catalog. Little did she know that I was really ahead of my time and that after an hour of loading a dating app and scrolling through hundreds of profiles I would pick out the PERFECT guy. Tim was cute, educated, seemed to have fun hobbies, and advertised himself as an "alright guy". We met at Ikonik coffee shop for a quick drink so that I could make sure he wasn't a serial killer. I brilliantly suggested a hike on a usually busy trail. Turns out since it was cold and starting to snow we were the only ones there. We chatted until our toes and fingers couldn't stand the cold any longer.

On our second date I took Courtney rock climbing and discovered that she would throw herself into anything with zeal when she started up the wall with nail extensions on. That enthusiasm didn’t wane when all of our subsequent early dates involved hiking in the mountains, skiing, rock climbing, camping, home improvements, or a spontaneous trip involving a circus-themed variety show in NYC on our 6th date. After discovering a few key pieces of information for successful relationships, like food must be ingested at regular intervals for sustained happiness, we were off to a great start.

A spark that began with a snowy tree lined hike was fed by wine infused dinners at Pig and Fig, powdery ski runs, grueling (in Courtney's opinion) mountain bike rides, quiet movie nights at home, cuddles with Meadow, and evenings competing over the fates of our civilizations during board game nights. Our connection was tested and strengthened with long pandemic work days, travel restrictions, and sleepless nights waking up with Meadow. Through it all we couldn't think of anyone we would rather share those moments with.

We are so excited to discover what else life has in store for us!
