Q & A

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by July 31, 2025. We truly hope you can make it!

If you have additional questions about traveling to Kumarakom or would like to brainstorm your travel itinerary with us, we are all ears.

What will the weather in Kerala be like?

Kumarakom is a tropical destination along the backwaters - expect it to be warm and humid. February is the best time to visit, with temperatures ranging from 24 to 32°C (75 to 89°F).

We request you opt for lighter fabrics and will be sharing a wardrobe guide for the events soon.

If you're traveling to other cities in India, please look up the weather beforehand as temperatures can vary.

Which hotels do you recommend in Kochi if we'd like to stay a night before or after the wedding?

Taj Cochin, International Airport: ~1 minute drive from the airport

Port Muziris, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel: ~5 minute drive from the airport

Forte Kochi - Colonial mansion converted into a beautiful hotel, well-located for a little sightseeing

Other heritage/boutique hotels further away: Fort House Hotel, Mai House, Brunton Boatyard

Many hotels might offer complimentary airport pick-ups/drop-offs (suggest confirming beforehand) or you can use Uber to get around.

Where else in India do you suggest visiting on this trip?

Kochi - we hope you get to explore this charming city. Our recommendation would be to stay at boutique heritage hotel, watch a Kathakali performance, and enjoy the great seafood in the Fort Kochi area.

Mumbai - Mohit's birth place, India's largest and busiest city, and the home of Bollywood. We'd skip anything touristy and spend time eating and shopping away in Bandra and Kala Ghoda - we have a long list of recommendations for you.

Goa - Aditi's favorite place on Earth which means sundowners on the beach, Portuguese houses converted into cocktail bars, and some of the most picturesque roads to drive along.

Pondicherry, Coorg, and Hampi are other smaller destinations in South India worth considering.

Although further away, Jaipur and Udaipur in Rajasthan would be beautiful to explore if this is your first time in India (think grand palaces and intricate crafts).

Where should I shop for Indian outfits?

We will share a wardrobe guide and website recommendations soon that can help you plan your outfits.

However, Aditi will be very proud if you opt to thrift, borrow from friends, or buy second-hand (ask her for her clothing resale Facebook group recommendations!)
