Story
The first time Allison and Alexander saw each other was in March of 2016. They were both sitting at the same gate for a flight from Phoenix to Newark. Allison was meeting her family in Aruba and Alexander was meeting his Dad to visit family in Pittsburg. Allison remembers taking notice of him as she got up to get a snack to eat before boarding. Out of all the possibilities, they had seats next to one another on the plane.
They started talking and discovered they were both taking classes at ASU and were raised in the Northeast. They talked about their family, their love for dogs, horse-back riding, places they'd like to travel to, past travels, and did so much of the way to their destination. After landing, he asked for her number and they went their separate ways.
Shortly after returning to Arizona, Alexander reached out and asked Allison if she'd like to meet up for lunch. He remembers it feeling like forever before their schedules aligned but when they did, Allison suggested they go for Chinese food.. an area they still frequent for great Asian cuisine. He picked her up like a gentleman, in his big blue truck, dents and all. They loved their time together so much that Alexander asked her to a movie, Zootopia, after lunch. They both could always enjoy a Disney film and a large bucket of popcorn.
Fast forward 4+ years, many sushi dates, love letters, evening walks, taking turn sous-cheffing, 1 cross-country road trip, many adventures, a pup Kena and a cat Lou... Alexander and Allison got engaged while on a road-trip up the coast of California. Under the Redwood trees at dusk, he asked her if she wanted floss for her teeth. To her surprise he came back not with floss but instead with a ring. He got down on one knee and she happily said YES (obviously).
