Story
Like every classic love story of modern society, theirs began through a little something called “online dating”… Amanda was apprehensive about Travis at first, considering he lived in Wisconsin and his pictures consisted of ripped jean shorts, endless Hawaiian shirts, and his long, curly mullet.
Nonetheless, Amanda swallowed her pride and gave him a shot anyways. To her surprise, the 1st date was seemingly perfect. We'll save the sappy details. But what sealed the deal was their first date ending with their first, slow dance in Amanda's apartment parking lot blasting a cute, country song from the car.
From that moment on, everything fell into place naturally. Travis won Amanda over with his Michelin-star cooking. He pursued Amanda wholeheartedly with endless flowers, chocolates, and sweet notes. Within two weeks, the two were officially boyfriend/girlfriend. Within 1 month, Travis mistakenly slipped his first 'I love you." After that, it was obvious that these two were meant to be together. Having both come from loving, supportive families, Amanda and Travis built a relationship founded on fun, laughing and loving all along the way.
With a wedding now in the very near future, Amanda and Travis are thrilled to share their love with the friends and family that have helped make their lives the blessing that it is.
Tidbits
What's your favorite activity together?
We love to go to the gym together, hang out with friends, and enjoy our lazy Sunday's with pizza. We also love going to as many country concerts as humanly possible.
Who's going to take out the trash?
Amanda for the win.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
We are headed to Italy for 2 weeks!
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
Our most memorable is our first trip as a couple for Travis' 27th birthday. We had an amazing time skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado. We were both first-time skiers and started off on the bunny hills and advanced pretty quickly. Of course, everything was a competition of who could ski the hardest hill.
A life goal of ours
Have the most fun together raising 4 kiddos (Lord-willing) in the most loving household.
We’re on the same page about
Mostly everything... + pizza toppings and our love for ranch.
What is your couple's Bible Verse
Ephesians 5:22-33. These verses have blessed our relationship. The Lord has truly equipped us for marriage with this passage alone as it's taught us so much on love, respect, and communication that we've been able to effectively put into practice.

Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
If you are able to RSVP when you receive your invitation - that is great and very helpful. The last day to RSVP is August 31st, 2024. If we do not get an RSVP back by the date provided, it will be marked as a "No." We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide total guest counts to our vendors in a timely manner. Due to this, we cannot accept late RSVP's, we hope you understand!
Can I bring a date?
Due to the limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
Are kids welcome?
Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited. Due to space, we are only able accommodate children in our wedding party and family only. We hope you understand and can enjoy a fun date night!
Where should I park?
There is plenty of free parking. Both the ceremony & reception locations have large parking lots. You may leave your car overnight at Arrowhead if need be, they do not tow cars.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes, both locations are wheelchair accessible.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony & reception will be indoors. We will attempt for an outdoor cocktail hour, weather permitting. If inclement weather, there is an indoor cocktail hour space.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
We are having an unplugged wedding ceremony. We hired an amazing photographer to capture all our special moments. However, you are more than welcome to bring out your cameras and phones during the cocktail hour & reception!
Whom should I call with questions?
Kennedy McDonnell (Maid of Honor): 906-290-2728
Amanda Temple (Bride): 630-995-2029
What time should I arrive?
We ask that you arrive at least 20 minutes before our 2:30PM ceremony time. This gives us enough time to be on schedule.
What should I wear?
We would love to see our family and friends dress up with us! We are requesting semi-formal attire. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?
We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - white, ivories, creams.
What time will the reception end?
The reception starts with a cocktail hour beginning at 5:00PM sharp, followed by dinner and dancing. The reception will end at 11:00PM. The party will continue downtown Naperville at the bride's favorite, hometown bars. Anyone is welcome to tag along with the bridal party!
Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?
There is a complimentary shuttle bus for the hotel guests of the Doubletree by Hilton. The shuttle is available on a first-come-first-served basis. There will be 3 scheduled times the shuttle will leave the Doubletree Hotel and transport guests to Arrowhead Golf Club. The shuttle will also transport guests back to the Doubletree Hotel when the reception ends. Please check back here for times. If you do not have access to the shuttle, we recommend carpooling and/or using a ride share service (i.e. Uber, Lyft, etc). Please no drinking & driving!
What should/could I do between the ceremony and the reception?
Most hotels in the area have a 3:00PM check-in time. We suggest calling ahead and requesting an early check-in so that you can settle in to your hotel before the ceremony. If the hotel will not allow for an early check-in, we recommend checking in to your hotel between the ceremony & cocktail hour as we have allotted enough time to do so.
How will food and drinks be served?
We will have passed hors d'oeuvres for the cocktail hour and a plated dinner for the reception. There will also be an open bar all evening. Please enjoy yourselves!
Miscellaneous Information
Kindly note, there will be a virtual photo album where wedding guests can upload their pictures throughout the night. Our virtual photo album will be used through a site called GuestPix. Please look for signage dispersed around Arrowhead labeled "Capture Our Love" with the photo album QR code accessible to all guests. Simply scan the QR code to upload your pictures. Please upload everything, whether getting ready before the wedding, at the cocktail hour throwing back some drinks or getting crazy on the dance floor! We can't wait to share those special moments with you that we may not have been able to see first-hand.
