When and where?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Stan Mansion (2408 N Kedzie Blvd, Chicago) on August 25. The ceremony starts at 4:30pm, followed immediately by cocktail hour and the reception.

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Scroll down for information on two hotels where we have blocks of rooms, as well as suggestions of what to do in the city of Chicago!

What should I wear?

Indian formal attire or Western cocktail attire (suit and tie for men).

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors at Stan Mansion.

What's for dinner?

Both American and Indian (including vegetarian) food will be served. We will not be serving a children's menu.

Will there be dancing?

Yes! Our DJ is Scott Smokin' Silz, a house-music pioneer and original member of Chicago's legendary Hot Mix 5.

Where should I park?

If you drive your own vehicle, you may use the parking lot of the Charles R. Darwin public school, located at 2322 N. Albany Ave. This is a five-minute walk from Stan Mansion. See map at

What should we do while in Chicago?

Chicago is a great tourist destination. It has everything from the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field to the Art Institute. The city's tourism website is . Story

Amy and Jonathan met in New York City in 2013. Jonathan moved to the University of Chicago in summer 2014, and Amy joined him in Chicago the following year.

Amy and Jonathan's relationship initially blossomed due to their shared intellectual interests and compatible personalities. Over the years, they have learned to love (or at least indulge) each other's hobbies and interests - in Amy's case, that meant watching English soccer and listening to house music, and for Jonathan, that meant exploring new places (and restaurants!). Amy and Jonathan have been fortunate to be able to travel together to Europe and Asia, and they look forward to more traveling and exploring together.

In July 2017, while they were kayaking on Rainy Lake near the Canada-Minnesota border, Jonathan surprised Amy with an engagement ring. We can't wait to start our married life together with your support!

Friday Evening Get-Together

6:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Please join Jonathan, Amy, and their families on Friday, August 24 at the Roanoke Club bar and lounge for a casual get-together! The lounge is located on the second floor of the Residence Inn Downtown Chicago/Loop, 11 S LaSalle St, Chicago, IL 60603. Food and drinks are available for purchase at the bar. Shuttle Bus

3:00 PM to 4:30 PM

We have hired a shuttle bus to transport guests who would prefer not to use a taxi, Uber, or the CTA blue line. The bus will load at the Residence Inn at 3:00pm and depart at 3:10pm. It will then load at the Crowne Plaza West Loop, departing at 3:25pm. The bus will also return to both hotels at the end of the evening.
