On The Day
Q & A
We know you've probably got lots of questions so take a read through, and if you're still unsure on anything then please get in touch!
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
The wedding ceremony will be a completely phone and camera free event (except for our professional photographers and two dedicated videographer).
We'd love it if all of our guests are in the moment and enjoying it as much as us.
From the drinks reception onwards, the more photos the better!
We've set up a free shared folder and would be eternally appreciative if you could share any great photos into this album for everyone to see. You can upload them via the link below:

Can I bring my kids?
Unfortunately due to capacity restrictions at our venue we have had to restrict invitations for children to immediate family only.
However, we recognise that some of you (especially new mums) will find this difficult, so please reach out if you have questions or if it causes any problems and we can chat it over. We are of course happy to welcome 'babes in arms'.
Any and all children will be welcome at the Friday shin-dig!
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony starts at 12:30. We will be ready to welcome guests from 12noon onwards.
Where should I park?
From the A414: turn north along Stony lane. The first driveway on the right (with a small cottage and a closed white gate) is a private entrance to Blake Hall and should not be used. Continue on a little further.
After a few minutes you will see a larger driveway on the right hand side with white stone walls and open gates. Drive along this road for 100m and you will reach the car park. You can leave your car here safely.
There will be Groomsmen and other family members who will show you where to go from there.
Should I bring confetti?
Our venue have very strict rules around confetti. Therefore to keep things simple for everyone we will be providing suitable confetti and passing it between guests. We will provide more than enough to go around.
Will I get a chance to take professional photos with the couple?
We will have two professional photographers documenting the entire day for us. However we will only be doing a very small handful of formal staged photos, as the two of us want to fully enjoy the day and mingle with all of you lovely guests (rather than being tucked away in a corner of the venue posing for formal pics!).
Our photographers will be capturing the reception in a "documentary" style, grabbing as many lovely candids as they can. But if you would like them to take a photo with you in, then feel free to ask.
Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?
Please just avoid white 🙂
Do you have a gift list?
It goes without saying: your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for.
However, if you're really determined to buy us something special we've compiled a list of gift and honeymoon ideas so you don't end up worrying about buying bedsheets the wrong size or being the 4th person to give us a set of champagne flutes!!
When you shop via Prezola you don't need to outright buy the gifts - most of them have been set up as "contributions" where you can make a part-payment towards a gift, and other guests can chose to pay the remaining portions.
Can we leave cars at the venue overnight?
Yes, absolutely. The car park is there for you to use, and we absolutely encourage you to party the night away, and make your way home safely by bus or taxi.
Cars should be collected between 10-noon the next day (as there is another wedding on the Friday).
When should I pay you for the coach, or for the Friday buffet lunch?
The coach will leave at 11:45 from the Blake Hall car park, and go to the Church Langley Premier Inn in Harlow. One of our friendly groomsmen will be collecting £10 per person in cash on the night, as you board the bus.
The buffet lunch will be served from 1pm on Friday at The Goat, on Hertford Heath. You can park anywhere around the edge of the village green. Please bring £10 cash per person, and pass it to either Matt or Amy.
Cash only for both please.
When is the RSVP deadline?
The RSVP window has now passed.
If you have a change in situation and need to change your RSVP status, please contact one of the two of us directly and we can help you change arrangements.
Whom should I call with questions?
Either of us - we're here to help.
Amy 07910734561 / Matt 07743769394
You can also reach out to any of our 4 parents.
