Story
We crossed paths in the emergency department of Wichita Falls, TX, where we both worked as scribes. During our one and only shift together, Ryan introduced himself with a handshake that was equal amounts of professionalism and charm!
Ryan was engrossed in a book titled "Finite and Infinite Games," which Amy annoyingly stole from him. She proceeded to take the book home and lay out her many disagreements on stickie notes for Ryan to read when she returned the book. We exchanged thoughts and laughs about the stickie notes, and a few weeks later, we found out we were enrolled in the same Cell Biology class.
Initially, Ryan chose a seat next to a mutual friend on the first day of class. However, on the second day, he made the move and sat next to Amy. Over the course of that fall semester we shared countless conversations about Ryan's fascination with sleep and the preposterous frequency with which he cracks his knuckles. Countless visits to coffee shops, chess matches, study dates, and traveling decorated the journey that led to our engagement!
