Summer of 2017. Boy meets girl.
Dylan skips class for a chance to talk to Ana. Dylan asks for her number, they start texting. They bond over music, Ana's criticism of Dylan's denomination, and their dogs both named Riley. Texts turn to long phone calls turn to FaceTime calls. Both wondering if the other is really interested, Ana drives down to Auburn for a first date. A couple of drives to meet halfway in the middle of nowhere later, Dylan asks Ana to meet him halfway again and they have the much needed DTR.
The past four years we've walked through transferring schools, changing majors (a couple of times), summers apart, lost loved ones, and many many laughs. We truly believe the Lord in a great act of loving kindness has lead us to this point, and are so excited and humbled. We look to Christ to sustain us, and believe that our marriage will be no different -- we look to Him alone to use our marriage for our good and His Glory.
Tidbits
How did you first meet?
Through their mutual friend, Lissie!
Ana was visiting Auburn with two friends, and Dylan was taking classes that summer. He came by to say hi to Lissie in the Student Center and may have skipped a class or two to get a chance to talk to Ana. It's a very War Eagle love story.
Who made the first move? How?
Dylan!
He was talking to their friend about Calvinism, and Ana mentioned some criticisms she had regarding the breakdown of TULIP. She mentioned a resource she had that helped break it down for her. A few hours later as Dylan was leaving he asked if Ana would mind sending her notes to him and gave her his number.
What was your most memorable date?
Right when we first started dating, we went for a hike to a place called Sunset Rock on Lookout Mountain, TN. We GREATLY miscalculated how long it would take us with how much sunlight was left. We made it about halfway before it was pitch black dark, and our only flash light was out. We had to navigate back through some areas with some steep drop-offs and got so spooked about running into some wildlife. We were so relieved when we made it back to the car, and we have yet to brave that hike again!
What's your favorite activity together?
A new favorite has been walks with our pup, Milo. And working on puzzles together, sans Milo (he'll eat the pieces and has lost all puzzle privileges).
We fully anticipate that these activities will age well alongside us ;)

What's the best meal you have eaten together?
Hands down anytime we go to Lucy's in Auburn for Brunch.
Our go-to entrees are: the Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes and the Chicken and Waffle Bennie. We get them both to share and accompany the meal with a french press full of coffee.
What nicknames do you have for each other?
"Hey Babe."
Season 4 Ep. 9 of the Office. If you know, you know. It started out as a joke and then it stuck. Whoops.
