Getting In
For those travelling from overseas, we recommend flying into Auckland International Airport!
Getting to Waiheke Island, Auckland, New Zealand
Once you've arrived at Auckland Airport there are lots of ways to get yourself down to the Ferry Terminal! There are several car rental options and Uber are relatively inexpensive. Also note, that you can bring your car across onto the island via the Ferry :)
Stay with us at Waiheke Island Resort
We will be staying at the Waiheke Island Resort from the 9th - 14th of February 2023. All resort owned villas are currently on hold for our wedding until August 2022.
The resort have kindly arranged a discount for our friends and families, therefore guests cannot book these rooms online and will need to call the resort directly and quote code: 68773 secure a room.

Some of you may wish to book accommodation close to the Waiheke Island Resort given the resort has limited spaces and the biggest rooms hold 4 people only.
There are many different accommodation options that can be found via Airbnb.
Just remember to try and find a place close by, so that you can easily join us for all the activities.

Complimentary Ferry Transfers (WEDDING DAY ONLY)

11:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Ferry return transfers have been arranged for those travelling on the wedding day only.
The ferry will depart from Auckland Downtown Ferry Terminal (piers11&12) at 11:30am, therefore please be at the ferry terminal no later than 11:00am.
The ferry will leave promptly so please don't be late!
Once at the terminal, bus transfers have been arranged to take you to St Peter's Catholic Church.
Feb 11
10:30 PM - 11:00 PM
For those wishing to return back to Auckland on the wedding day, transport from the reception has been arranged to take guests back to the Ferry Terminal.
Bus transfers have been arranged to pick up guests from Cable Bay Winery at 10:30pm, so please do not be late. From here the bus will take you to Matiatia Ferry Terminal where you will board the 11pm ferry to return back to Auckland.
Please note that should you wish to leave at a later date, your ferry ticket will remain valid.

Are kids welcome?
Due to limited capacity, the reception will be an adult only event with exception to those travelling aboard.
However, please contact us directly if you would like your children to attend and we will do our best to accommodate.
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Waiheke Island, New Zealand!! You can expect very pleasant temperatures during the day, with the average maximum daytime temperature reaching around 24°C. However, please note, that it does drop down to around 16°C at night, so please bring some warm layers for the evening.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

What should I wear?

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony and reception is indoors, however before the reception starts, canapes will be served on the lawn whilst you wait for us to get back from our photoshoot :)
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
Is there a gifts registry?
The best gift is having you share in our special day,
Should you wish to contribute in some other way,
A wishing well we thought would be great,
but only if you wish to participate.
Please do not be offended by this request,
as our day is complete with you as our guest.
Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?
Bus transfers have been arranged from the reception back to Waiheke Island Resort. If you have accommodation elsewhere, you will have to arrange your own transport.
