Q & A

For all our friends and family who have questions or would like clarification, we've created this Q & A section just for you!

When is the RSVP deadline?

August 1st, 2018

What should I wear?

Since our wedding is in Florida in September (hot weather!), we recommend lightweight clothing preferably in Semi-Formal attire. We are getting married at a church so we ask that you dress appropriately.

What time should I arrive?

The Ceremony begins at 2pm, we recommend arriving at least 10-15 minutes earlier to sign the guest book and to find a seat.

Where should I park?

There is free parking anywhere in the River Church parking lot that isn't specified as reserved parking.

Is there special seating during the ceremony?

There will be special seating indicated in the front which will be reserved for specific individuals. Other than that, seating is completely open but we do ask that you fill up the rows closest to the altar first.

Are cash or gifts better for the couple?

Cash is best since we are packing light for our move to Minnesota, but for those who would like to send a gift we have an online wedding registry. Find our Registry at

What if I want to donate my services to a cause instead of give a gift?

That would be great! We would love to speak with you if you have it on your heart to donate your time and effort for our wedding day. Please get in touch with the Maid of Honor Lea Umbricht at your earliest convenience so we can work out a plan.

Whom should I call with questions?

You may contact the Maid of Honor, Lea Umbricht via text and call at +1 (813) 385-1181.

Are kids welcome?

Kids are welcome to attend the Ceremony and Cupcake reception following immediately after the Ceremony. We ask that if you are invited to the Dinner Reception that you attend without your child(ren) with you. For further questions or clarification please contact Lea Umbricht.

Can I bring a date?

We ask that only friends of David and Joyce attend the wedding, however spouses and fiancés are welcome. Please contact Lea Umbricht for further case to case questions about this.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

We will not forbid the usage of personal phones and cameras; however we do ask that you keep pictures and videos to a minimum and that you refrain from using flash at all times. We will be having photographers/videographers present to capture our special day but of course we understand if you want to snap a quick photo. Please be respectful of other guests and silence your phone during the ceremony.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

All of the wedding is inside The River Church, so you shouldn't be baking outside in the Florida heat!

I have a question not answered here; how do I contact you?

Please contact Lea Umbricht, the Bride's Maid of Honor with any questions you may still have. He number is +1 (813) 385-1181

Our Story

When God puts two people together, everything about it is supernatural. David and I didn’t know when we started Worship School in 2015 that the Lord had plans for our joined future. It was two years before either of us knew that we were a match made in heaven, with a destiny to fulfill together on earth.

As a little girl I used to tell people and the Lord “I wish the Lord could just arrange my marriage and pick my husband for me”. He took me up on that and picked David Andreen, the most wonderful man to pursue me and love me. God tailor made me for him and he’s tailor made for me.

People who know us both often ask us “how is it that you two even started dating?” They usually expect to hear a romantic love story of love at first sight or something like that. But it was even better than that; it was the hand of God that one day opened our eyes to see each other differently than we ever had before.

We went on our first date shortly after that and from that day on we knew this was beyond just the natural attraction we felt between a man and a woman. It was God literally bringing together two people and their destinies to align as one.

And so we give God all the glory and excitedly look forward to the day September 1st 2018, when David Andreen and I, Joyce Hasler are joined together as one in marriage before God and man as Mr. and Mrs. Andreen.
