Getting In

We recommend flying into Charleston International Airport.

Car

Getting Downtown

There are many ways to get downtown from the airport. There are several car rental options, and Lyft and Uber are inexpensive options.

Note

Spring is the high season in Charleston. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.

We so appreciate you traveling from near and far to join us for our special day. You can find information on where to fly into, what hotels we recommend staying at and how to get around the city on this site.

Please note that hotels and Airbnb's downtown sell out very quickly for this busy time of year. We highly recommend booking travel as far in advance as possible.

There is a citywide race on the morning of 4/6/24 that will shut down the Ravenel Bridge from Charleston to Mount Pleasant. While it is such a fun event, please note that this will make it difficult to travel outside of the downtown Charleston peninsula. Please do not book Airbnb's or VRBOs in the Mount Pleasant area as you will have a very difficult time getting to the ceremony on Saturday.

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is indoors and our reception will be in the garden under a tent.

What will the weather be like?

April in Charleston will be really nice, with an average temperature of around 75°F. As there is not a lot of humidity, it will feel comfortable. The gorgeous flowers (and allergies!) will be blooming so please bring your Zyrtec or Claritin just in case!

What should I wear?

We would love to see lots of fun, bold colors for our Spring wedding!

Ladies: Long gowns are encouraged. There are stones along the grounds in the garden so please be mindful of your heels!
Gentlemen: A tuxedo or dark suit is preferred.

Can I bring a date?

Please check your invite for your +1!

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception.

Where should I park?

There is a garage located on Queen Street right around the corner from the Gibbes Museum.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes! There is an elevator on the property.

Will transportation be provided?

Transportation will be provided for our guests who are staying at the Charleston Marriott on Lockwood only. Since this hotel is not within walking distance to the Gibbes Museum, shuttles will pick guests up at 5:00pm sharp. For any others, we recommend walking or grabbing an Uber, which are easily accessible in downtown Charleston!
