Our Story
Tidbits
How did you first meet?
See Our Story!
Who made the first move? How?
Dawn! She reached for Ash's hand while they drove through Bend on Ash's first visit to Oregon.
Who's going to take out the trash?
Whoever gets to it first ; )
What was your most memorable date?
For Ash, it's the afternoon that Dawn proposed - Dawn really had Ash going by leading her to believe that Dawn's family would be visiting town that day and that they were on their way to a picnic date along the river before everyone got into town. You should also know that Dawn brought THE CUTEST picnic basket.
Once they got down to the place where Ash thought they'd set up their picnic, Dawn pulled out a pair of earbuds, put them in Ash's ears, and said "Walk in that direction for a few minutes and then press play. I'll meet you on the other side of the river".
Ash, mildly perplexed, and thinking, "what a sweet date idea!", counted 2 minutes exactly, pressed play, and the music they'd connected over when they first got to know each other while living long-distance began to play. To Ash's surprise, the music faded out, and Dawn's voice faded in- "I want you to know that I'm about to propose to you, but first, I want to tell you why" (ALL THE TEARS)
As Ash made her way around the river trail, the sun was hitting that golden hour (perfectly planned by Dawn), and she was in tears by the time she saw Dawn, picnic basket and all, standing next to a large mossy rock next to the Deschutes River, engagement ring in hand.
As it turns out, family actually was in town! But rather than it being Dawn's family, it was Ash's parents and Ash & Dawn's dearest friend, Hope- Dawn had arranged for them to be with us for the proposal.
Ash and Dawn can share the full story with you if you're curious - just ask!
Shout out to Zach Jager for coming in clutch to piece together the music & Dawn's beautiful proposal.
____
For Dawn, it's the time she surprised Ash by making an unexpected trip to Oklahoma, which Ash's mom ALMOST gave away, haha
What's your favorite activity together?
We love hiking, talking about relationships and what makes them tick, catching live music, random dancing in the kitchen, developing our Queer Couples business, connecting with our family, paddle boarding, and spending time with our little fam.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
We're looking at Italy, France, or a cruise around the Greek Islands this summer (eek!)
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
Bos Taurus' seasonal 4 course meal is what literal dreams are made of. Their Wagu Steak is the kind of meal that melts in your mouth - We recommend booking a reservation here if you're in town long enough!
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
A true lesbian love story - Our 26 hour drive in April of 2021 when Dawn & I uhaul'd it from OKC to the PNW after 4 months of long-distance dating : )
We’re on the same page about
What's important to us- how we want to be in relationship with others, self-development, caring for our minds & bodies, going to bed early (haha), loving our animals well, holding a vision as a couple for how we want to show up, impact and grow within our world.
A life goal of ours
We have so many! For starters, our goal is to build a home by the river and continue to grow our family as we expand our Queer Couples Coaching business and become the go-to for queer couples around the world. Another goal is to one day launch our first high-end queer couples retreat, continue our Queer Couples Conversations podcast, and help build safe and secure relationships among queer communities.
The most spontaneous thing we’ve done
Reach out to one another! Our ex-wives did a pretty good job of making sure we wouldn't connect (but clearly not good enough!), so when we did it was pretty spontaneous and was one of those "holy smokes I'm actually doing this" kinda moments.
The dorkiest thing about us is
Dawn was pretty quick to say "Ash's dad jokes, hands down", LOL
Ash feels proudly at peace with this one.
A social cause we care about
Black/POC lives, Trans lives, women's lives - we believe that a threat to your physical and emotional safety is a direct threat to our own. We must take care of each other.
We are regulars at
El Sancho, haha - laughing because they know our names here. But honestly, this local taco joint is AMAZING. We love their margs, plantains, tacos, carne asada salad and don't forget to ask that they bring the heat.
Also, 900 Wall and their bread & butter (trust us) and their oysters are SO GOOD.
We take pride in
Our relationship, our success as two queer female business owners, the way we chose to recover after our last marriages unexpectedly came to an end, the relationships we've cared for and rebuilt with our families, and where & who we get to call 'home'.

High Desert Weather in May

Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by April 23rd, 2023, so we can have an accurate headcount. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
Can I bring a date?
Of course! Each invite includes a +1, just in case. All we ask is that you let us know if you do decide to bring a +1 <3
Are kids welcome?
Absolutely! Please keep in mind that the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception will be held nearby the Metolius River, so please mind any little ones that may be attending in-tow and their safety.
What will the weather be like?
During the day, the weather in Camp Sherman should be beautiful, averaging in the mid 60's, and will get down to ~40-50 degrees at night. As of now, May 14th is shaping up to be 74 and sunny, but keep in mind that there's also a chance that we could get rain or snow, so please plan accordingly.
Where should I park?
There are multiple locations for parking on-site. We will have signs marking those locations upon arrival, though if any questions arise, please check in with the groundskeeper, Chris, at the check-in lodge.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes, and we will have a golf cart available for anyone needing assistance getting around the property!
What should I wear?
We're going for a semi-formal look with deep, earth tone colors. Don't forget to bring your party pants (and dresses) for the reception!
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, and our reception will be in a tent.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Whatever you may fancy for footwear, we do not recommend stiletto heels. You will primarily be walking on grass, so a chunky heel or sandal may be your best bet.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them<3
**However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony**
Whom should I call with questions?
Please reach out to Ash or Dawn for any questions that may arise and we'd be more than happy to help!
Will there be dancing?
You bet your booty there will be dancing- we hope to see y'all on the dance floor!
Is there a gifts registry?
Your presence is enough of a present to us! Y'all have done all the heavy lifting to get here, so all we ask is that you join us for the special day we've been waiting for. We cannot wait to see each of you!
What should/could I do between the ceremony and the reception?
We will have a cocktail hour prepared between the ceremony and reception, which includes an open bar with alcoholic & non-alcoholic options throughout the night!
Will last names be changing after the wedding?
Yes! Our new names will be Ash & Dawna Noble, Mrs. & Mrs. Noble, The Nobles...you get the idea!
