Story
What are the odds that two people destined for each other can operate around each other for so long, know the same people, and still get so close to missing each other?
That’s our story. Ashley started at Arizona State University, but transferred up to Montana State University as a sophomore where I was entering my junior year. We had friends in the same circles but never met. After graduating, I ran off to Wyoming chasing big engineering dreams, but after a year was given a great opportunity to move back home.
We met the modern way: by swiping right on tinder (swoon!). I shot my shot by offering everything I had at the time; netflix, frozen pizza and a cute dog named Hobbes. She took the bait.
It’s crazy to think I nearly missed her, in fact did miss her. We had only dated for two months when she graduated and told me she was moving to Arizona for nursing school. I wanted her to stay but you can’t say that out loud and ruin any chance of someone you love chasing their dream.
So she left…
And in the next three months one of us was on an airplane every other week to see each other. Then the unimaginable happened; COVID hit. Ashley’s school was put on hold indefinitely, so she moved back.
I would love to say that I was the most excited for her to be back, but I think Hobbes took the cake. Fast forward and we moved in together, our families started celebrating holidays together, we adopted a miniature golden retriever named Roo, and in October 2021 I asked Ashley if I could spend the rest of my life loving her and she said yes.

How did you first meet?
See Our Story!
Who's going to take out the trash?
Whoever happens to be closer to the trash :)
What was your most memorable date?
In my [Ashley's] opinion, it was our first date. Alex asked me to come over and we watched movies, talked endlessly, ate frozen pizza, and played with his adorable dog, Hobbes.
What's your favorite activity together?
In the summer, we love to golf and float the river together. In the winter, we enjoy cuddling up on the couch and binge watching true crime documentaries. We also enjoy spending time with our doggos, Hobbes and Roo.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Somewhere that neither of our phones work!!!
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
In 2020, while Alex was visiting me in Arizona, we did quite a bit of brewery hopping. We stopped by this brewery called Helluva Brewery in Chandler, AZ. We had some good beer and some amazing nachos. We still dream about those nachos. It was a perfect day.
We’re on the same page about
What's important to us. And that's spending time with the people we love most. (You all!)
How did Alex propose?
The weekend of October 30th, 2021, Alex and I went up to Seeley Lake, MT to visit his grandparents, Mike and Vera. We just planned on spending some quality time with them both and enjoying the beautiful scenery. After getting ready for the day, Alex and I went out on Mike and Vera's back patio to admire the beautiful mountains on such a sunny day. As I turned around, Alex was down on one knee asking me if he could spend the rest of his life loving me. I could hardly believe it and sputtered out a "yes, yes, yes"!!! Alex got Mike and Vera in on the action by asking Mike to record the proposal and asking Vera to take photos. We then spent the afternoon visiting Lolo Peak Brewery and celebrating with Mike and Vera!

Your presence is enough of a present to us! But for those of you who are stubborn, we've put together a wish-list to help you out!
We have lived together for over 3 years now (crazy right!?) - so we have accumulated most of the necessities needed to live together. Because of this, if you do feel as though you would like to get us a gift - we would deeply appreciate if you would contribute to our honeymoon fund so we could go on the honeymoon of our dreams!

Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite to see if you received a plus one! If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to the bride or groom!
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Montana, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Livingston should be beautiful, averaging 70-80 degrees, but will get a tad chilly at night (possibly down into the 50's). Please bring some layers for the evening, we don't want anyone getting too chilly!
Where should I park?
There is plenty of free parking near the entrance of the venue. The parking lot is to the left after you pull into the venue's driveway!
What should I wear?
We are asking our guests to dress in semi-formal attire. What does this mean exactly? Find a balance between elegant and comfortable. We want all of our guests to feel comfortable and confident at our wedding. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the bride or groom.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour is outdoors, but our reception will be in held indoors with the option to play yard games and hangout outside :)
Will I have to travel from ceremony to reception?
No, you will not! Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all located at the same venue!
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! During the cocktail hour and reception, we would love for you to take photos and share them with us!
However, please refrain from taking photos or having your phone out during the ceremony. We hired a photographer for that (;
I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
Please check out our "Places to Stay" section on our website! Our venue is about 15 minutes away from Livingston, MT and about 45 minutes away from Bozeman, MT.
We HIGHLY recommend all you out-of-towner’s look into VRBO’s or AirBnB’s! There are lots of great options in Paradise Valley! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to the bride or the groom!
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive by 3:45pm to allow time for you to be seated. Our ceremony will begin at 4pm.
How will food and drinks be served?
There will be a cocktail hour, with some light appetizers, directly following our ceremony. We will then be having dinner shortly after that. It will be buffet style and we are sure it will be delicious.
What type of bar service is offered?
There will be select options that the bride and groom and their parents will be taking care of, however there will be a full bar (including wine, beer, and liquor) available for guests to purchase drinks of their choice. The bar will accept cash and credit/debit cards.
Is there a gifts registry?
Please check out our "registry" page!
