Story

It all started in 2004 at Robert Cross Middle Magnet School when Audrianna saw a cute boy wearing glasses. In that same moment, Corbin saw the most fly girl with tight curls walking around wearing a collard Aeropostale shirt. It was puppy love when their eyes met, and that’s where the crush began. Audri and Corbin never even spoke a word to each other, and after Audri moved away following her 7th-grade year, they never saw each other again until their Freshman year of college. Thank God for Albany State University.

While attending university, neither of them still ever said a word to each other about their longtime feelings until after Audrianna graduated in 2014. The unspoken feelings lasted from 2004 to 2014; it took ten years from when they first saw each other for them to, thankfully and finally, connect. One day Audri went on Instagram and saw some notifications. It was Corbin on her account liking picture after picture. In this day and age, we all know what that means. Of course, Audri returned the favor and liked some off his pictures as well. As she expected, she received a DM from Corbin seconds later.

From there, they were talking as if they were best friends and having great conversations with one another. While they were texting, Corbin said to Audri, “I have never been able to have a conversation with a girl like this”. It was in those moments that, BOOM, Corbin was in love. Little did he know, Audri was falling in love too. Audri thought she had Corbin wrapped around her little finger. Corbin would make the sweetest gestures: driving to Atlanta just to come and see her, giving her “just because it’s Tuesday cards”, and so much more to win her heart.

One weekend Audri came back to Albany and decided to meet Corbin at the park. This was the first time they would see each other with their feelings in full swing. Audri’s siblings came with her to test Corbin out, they were going to be the decision-makers in whether or not he could stick around. As it turned out, they loved him! Even though Ivy, Audri’s sister, tried to give him a run for his money. That day, Audri and Corbin truly fell in love.

Since they had already spent over ten years secretly crushing on each other, they decided to speed things up a bit. On April 18th, 2015, two weeks after the park date, they were boyfriend and girlfriend. Ever since then, Corbin has been the Prince Charming in Audri’s fairytale. On February 16th, 2019, Corbin decided to give Audri a happily ever after.

What's the first thing you do to show someone you’re interested? Yep that’s right, like multiple pictures on Instagram. One day Corbin decided to go on Audri’s Instagram page and like pictures to send a message that he was interested.

Who's going to take out the trash?

Corbin is most definitely going to take out the trash!

What was your most memorable date?

We were at home and decided we needed a date. We got up and drove to Panama, Florida- just us two. Can you say the best day ever! From the beach to the restaurant and stores. Just really enjoyed ourselves and spending quality time together.

What's your favorite activity together?

Being home and watching a good movie, spending quality time together, laying down and joking around. We literally joke and laugh all day!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Honolulu, Hawaii

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

Our favorite meal is from Longhorn. It doesn’t get better than a grilled chicken breast, their infamous mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Oh, and you can’t forget the freshly baked bread with cinnamon butter!

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

We went to New Orleans and experienced some things that we wish we never did - LOL! Nonetheless, it was the best time we’ve ever had together. Nothing like letting loose and having the time of your life with your fiancé.
