Story

Barbara and Anthony's story begins 16 years ago at their high school, Boston Latin Academy. As friends they sat in home room and talked every morning. Barbara's first memory of Ant was him rolling through the hallway in a wheelchair after he broke his leg. Ant says his first memory of Barbara was asking to use his locker. Ant had a big spacious locker located in a prime location at school. Because her locker was small, Barbara asked Ant if she could keep her coat in his locker. Pretty soon you could find her coat and her books taking up half of his space. Anthony likes to joke that Barbara moved in that day. After many months mutual friends encouraged them to . Their friendship would eventually blossom into a romantic relationship going strong to this day.

Anthony knows how much Barbara likes to hike so he asked her to go on a sunrise hike. Barbara did not know Anthony had gone here several times to plan the perfect proposal. On September 8th at 4AM he made breakfast and packed Barbara and snack in the car. They traveled two hours, hiked and arrived at a beautiful waterfall at sunrise. Barbara in awe of the scenery and when she turned around Anthony was on one knee.

Barbara and Anthony are so excited to sharing this day with you. They look forward to celebrating this day with all of their loved ones!

He made the first move. He asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history.

Ant...Definitely Ant.

What was your most memorable date?

The first movie that we saw together was The Break-up. We talk about the irony in that to this day, and how maybe that wasn't the best first date movie.

What's your favorite activity together?

Playing tennis together and watching movies from our movie bucket list.

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

Any meal in New Orleans

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

We traveled to Paris and Greece in 2017.

We're getting married! We'd like to share a few words with everyone. Dinner, drinks, and dancing to follow!

Airport: The closest airport is Bradley International Airport (Hartford Airport). We

Car: For those driving, Hartford is roughly 2 hours southeast from Boston.

Bus/Train: Hartford is accessible by both Charter Bus (Greyhound, PeterPan etc) and Amtrak. You can find more information at or by searching charter bus schedules via google.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, and we thank you for finding accommodations for them in order to celebrate our special day.

Where should I park?

Ceremony: There is plenty of street parking is available at no charge on nights and weekends.

Recpetion: The Society Room address for parking is:
84 Asylum Street, Hartford, CT 06103

Note: Keep the ticket you receive from the machine in a safe and memorable spot. Once you are inside the venue, the Greeter will have a voucher with a #2 on it. This voucher is a complimentary ticket to exit the lot. Exiting the lot, you will enter ticket #1 in the machine first
followed by ticket #2.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes. All locations are wheelchair accessible.

What should I wear?

Formal attire is required for our ceremony and reception. Please see our schedule page for more information.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Both locations are indoors!

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Any formal shoe attire is acceptable.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. While we are happy to share this day with you, our photographer and videographer need adequate space to capture our memories. We are happy to have you take pictures after dinner as we dance the night away.

You should be present prior to 3:30 when the ceremony starts

Will I have to pay for parking?

Parking is complimentary.

Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?

Transportation will not be provided. The reception venue and Goodwin hotel are close in proximity (about a 5 minute walk)
