Joy is more than just another wedding app – guests can use Joy to get to know each other before the wedding and get the party started long before everybody is in one place. Setting up a guest profile just takes a few minutes and is a great way to show off your personality and find out about the people you’re about to dance the funky chicken with.
Here’s how to set up, edit, and update your profile in Joy.
JOIN A WEDDING
Joining a wedding is easy – find out more about that here. Once you’ve joined a wedding, you can view the guest list by selecting “Guests” in the main menu:
The Guest List looks something like this:
Not only can you see things like their name, RSVP status, and photo, but they can also list their relationship status (hey hey), if they know the groom or bride, and a fun fact about themselves. You can too – and you can update your profile at any time.
UPDATE A PROFILE WITH iPHONE AND iPAD:
- Go to the guest list via the main menu.
- Click on the tiny profile icon in the upper left-hand corner.
UPDATE A PROFILE WITH ANDROID:
From the main menu, select “Settings”
NOTE: You must be invited to an actual wedding – you can’t update a profile from the sample wedding on the Joy app.
CREATE OR EDIT YOUR PROFILE
See something on your profile that you want to change? Let other guests know if you’ve acquired a new talent worthy of the “Fun Fact” section, or if you’re suddenly single and on the prowl. To update, just tap “Edit Your Profile.” Then you’ll be prompted to upload a new photo, add new information, and let other guests get to know the real you.
Once you’ve made your profile look just right, make sure you tap “Done” on the top right corner to save your profile.
Next, make sure the information you’ve shared is up-to-date. Make sure to include a conversation-starting fun fact, like Evan, one of our engineers, who evidently has a rich musical past:
