Joy Proposal Story: Daphne & Jorge

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

We took a trip to Italy with two good friends and on the third day, we were visiting Florence. Jorge proposed to me on top of a hill overlooking the city. It was the most unexpected and most magical moment of my life!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

I’m a graphic designer so I would say creating our wedding stationery and working out the decor for our venue!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

My best friend and maid of honor, Vicky. She got married last year so she has been helping me a great deal. Beer has also been a great stress reliever!

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

I fell in love with the interface. I’m also excited to have my guests download the app so they can post pictures and communicate.

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

Play with both the website and app to get a feel of it so you can answer any questions your guests may have. Use incognito mode so you can see what your website will look like if it’s locked!

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

A wedding is a day of celebration when your family and friends gather to celebrate your love. When it is truly meant to be, Joy is what a couple has before the wedding and should continue to have for the rest of their days.  Joy is knowing that no matter what, you will always feel at home in each other’s arms.
