Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Ricky secretly invited our close family members and friends to a Sarah Jaffe concert, right before he proposed to me in the downtown square. During her show, Sarah stopped the music and called us out by name saying, “This song is dedicated to Ricky and Kristen”. I couldn’t stop crying. I think my mom even has it on video!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
The variety of options! Being in Austin there are so many different food vendors, florists, etc.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Ricky! He is so calm, he keeps me centered.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
It fits our personality! I love the creative fonts.
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Play around with it! Switch up your cover picture to better fit the theme or the other way around!
