Joy Proposal Story: Nicholas & Micah

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

We had taken a trip up to Northern California earlier this past summer for some hiking and outdoor exploring. While stargazing from our cabin in Sequoia National Park, Nick proposed. Needless to say, it was a surprise!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

We are having a destination wedding. Choosing the perfect spot has been so exciting! We both love to travel so we knew we had to do something to incorporate that into our wedding day.

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

Whenever one of us starts to feel stressed about the wedding we always take a minute to remind each other why we are doing this. For me, I think it is most important to not let silly wedding problems get in the way of you and your partner’s happiness. When Nick and I focus on each other it always makes it easier to not let the wedding take over our relationship.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

I love how it’s simple and easy to use! I was so excited when I came across Joy! I researched other wedding websites before and most of them were expensive or did not have all the great details I wanted. Joy thinks of everything when it comes to creating and designing a wedding website. The simplicity and aesthetics made it the only option for me, and not to mention that there is an app. This is great for my guests and makes it so much easier for them to know whats happening with the wedding.

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

You can never have too much information on your website! Give your guests every detail they need, share pictures and share special details about yourselves.

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

Knowing that I get to spend the rest of my life experiencing joy and happiness with my soon-to-be husband, is all I need! The wedding is a day you celebrate your love,  joy is knowing that you will have forever to continue that celebration!
