Let\u2019s face it, you won\u2019t drop pounds by eating well just one day before your big day. Not to worry! We\u2019re sharing our expertise on what to devour and what to dodge in order to look and feel your best.<\/p>\n<h2>Devour<\/h2>\n<p>The day before and day of \u201cthe\u201d big day, you want to consume power foods. These give you energy, provide nutrients and vitamins, and can also help you stay refreshed. You can start simply by making smarter choices. For example, water-based fruits like melons and citrus will not only keep you full but also hydrated.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-43869\" src=\"https:\/\/rehearsaluploads.withjoy.com\/uploads\/brooke-lark-158019-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\"><\/p>\n<p>When eating eggs, choose egg whites to minimize your calorie intake. Or, when preparing meals, stick to light proteins and vegetables, but stay away from seasoning food with excess salts and sugars. The most important thing to remember is your water consumption. Try to have at least eight cups of water a day, throughout your day, and with every meal!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oatmeal and other whole grains<\/li>\n<li>Eggs<\/li>\n<li>Yogurt parfaits<\/li>\n<li>Fresh, tropical fruits<\/li>\n<li>Salad (skip the heavy, dairy-based dressings for a lighter olive oil and vinegar one)<\/li>\n<li>Grilled vegetables (avoid cruciferous vegetables, as they tend to make you gassy!)<\/li>\n<li>Grilled chicken or salmon<\/li>\n<li>Assorted nuts<\/li>\n<li>Trail Mix<\/li>\n<li>Celery and peanut butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Dodge<\/h2>\n<p>Experiencing pre-wedding jitters is normal. Experiencing caffeine-induced nervous shaking is not.<\/p>\n<p>Being anxious can already make you queasy.&nbsp;Don\u2019t add to the unrest eating the wrong foods before one of the happiest days of your life. You know that &nbsp;nasty sweating from spicy foods or those&nbsp;puffy fingers where your ring is almost too tight to take off? It doesn&#8217;t have to be that way if you avoid the foods on our &#8220;Dodge&#8221; list.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-43870\" src=\"https:\/\/rehearsaluploads.withjoy.com\/uploads\/christopher-flowers-234182-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/p>\n<p>The most important thing to watch out for on the day before your wedding is your alcohol consumption, especially when hosting a rehearsal dinner. Limit yourself to 1-2 drinks maximum. You don\u2019t want to wake up on your wedding day feeling tired, bloated, and puffy in your face.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Artificial sweeteners<\/li>\n<li>Trans fat<\/li>\n<li>Processed foods<\/li>\n<li>Excessive amount of salt<\/li>\n<li>Heavy gluten and dairy<\/li>\n<li>Carbonated beverages<\/li>\n<li>Caffeine<\/li>\n<li>Alcohol<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>P.s.
