I played the Alto Sax, which I still play to this day. At 16, I started taking dance lessons to impress some girls. During a party, my skills at leading a large group were noticed by the DJ. He then brought me on be a motivational dancer, explained some of the basics, put on the Electric Slide, and said, &#8220;Okay, now go out there and get people up dancing!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52514\" src=\"https:\/\/rehearsaluploads.withjoy.com\/uploads\/uploads\/24068279_10100196515578432_1481131414630075776_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"960\"><\/p>\n<h2>What services do you provide?<\/h2>\n<p>My services include DJ\/Entertainment and MC\/Hosting services, Reception\/Ceremony\/Cocktail music, Karaoke, Trivia, and Uplighting.<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s been your favorite experience since the start of your business?<\/h2>\n<p>It&#8217;s really hard to pinpoint one specific experience because every time I am notified that a client wants to work with me, I get excited about the opportunity. It is always awesome to break out all my bells and whistles for a client but my favorite and most memorable experiences are tied directly to the interaction between my client and their event.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-52512 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/rehearsaluploads.withjoy.com\/uploads\/uploads\/21586565_10100179166695732_2409400240060813772_o-1024x701.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"701\"><\/p>\n<h2>Do you work with events other than weddings? What do you love most about working with weddings?<\/h2>\n<p>For the past two decades I have been entertaining at all types of events ranging from corporate, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16&#8217;s, birthday parties for all ages, local events bars\/nightclubs, and more! The drive behind what I do is summed by the feeling of when clients realize that their event is going to be fun, unique, and different. I have received some of the most touching words of thanks and detailed insight, about why clients picked my DJ services out of so many other great options. I love working with each client to help personalize the entertainment for one of the greatest day of their lives.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52515\" src=\"https:\/\/rehearsaluploads.withjoy.com\/uploads\/uploads\/Demby-DJ-Gotham-Hall-NYE-2013-Over-shoulder-shot.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"420\"><\/p>\n<h2>Where is the most interesting place and\/or event you&#8217;ve DJ&#8217;d?<\/h2>\n<p>I DJ&#8217;d for over&nbsp;2,000 people from over 30 feet up in the air, at Gotham Hall in the Haier Building in NYC for two New Year&#8217;s Eve parties! (And yes, I wore a top hat and tux!)<\/p>\n<h2>What is your favorite, most notable moment from a wedding you\u2019ve worked at?<\/h2>\n<p>One of my grooms was a karate teacher and he brought his entire class out for a big choreographed show. Providing the custom music for that show was an epic achievement and a really cool experience!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-52517 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/rehearsaluploads.withjoy.com\/uploads\/uploads\/Rena-and-Jason-Karate.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\"><\/p>\n<h2>What is your biggest wedding day challenge?<\/h2>\n<p>Every wedding and\/or event has their own set of challenges, but some of the biggest involve making sure the important people are in place for announcements, dances, cake, pictures, food, toasts, and any important song requests!<\/p>\n<h2>What is one thing people don\u2019t typically know about your business, that you wish they did?<\/h2>\n<p>At first glance, I may seem like just another average DJ. What they might not realize, because of my experience, I take all of the little details with the utmost seriousness and pay close attention to the needs of my clients. From the very first contact to their big day, I am with them every step of the way.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-52513\" src=\"https:\/\/rehearsaluploads.withjoy.com\/uploads\/uploads\/21740859_10100179172678742_866284915461782779_o-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\"><\/p>\n<h2>What piece of advice would you give brides and grooms to ensure their big day goes off without a hitch?<\/h2>\n<p>Make sure to ask questions to each vendor on your list.
