<\/p>\nMy grandmother was an art teacher so I learned how to shoot film when I was very young. I then went on to film school in North Carolina where I learned about cinematography and making films.<\/p>\n

Probably becoming good friends with some of my couples. I dog sit one of my couple\u2019s puppy a few times a year and we hang out all the time. Making those lasting connections is probably the best perk of the job!<\/p>\n
I love photographing weddings because they\u2019re typically just a lot of fun. Most people are there to enjoy themselves and live it up. So getting to be around that energy a lot is a blast.<\/p>\n

Probably a Jewish\/Indian wedding in Antigua Guatemala. That was a show stopper! The bride\u2019s aunt passed away the night of the wedding, so it made the whole wedding weekend a challenge. I\u2019m glad she was able to make it to the wedding and witness her niece getting married.<\/p>\n
My must-capture moment is the reactions of the family during the ceremony. I love capturing the smiles, tears, and laughs of friends and relatives.<\/p>\n

My biggest challenge with a wedding is honestly just when the timeline is really tight and you don\u2019t have as much time as you would like to photograph certain parts of the wedding day.<\/p>\n

Work with your photographer on a timeline, be open with communication, and find someone you really enjoy spending time with since your photographer will be with you the entire wedding day.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not a huge fan of trends but I\u2019ll never get tired of the boho look. Dogs at weddings is also a winner in my book.<\/p>\n
I think any app that makes wedding planning easier is a huge benefit to couples. Wedding planning is hard enough on its own.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If I wasn\u2019t a wedding photographer I\u2019d be a photojournalist. I can\u2019t imagine not being a photographer.<\/p>\n
I think it\u2019s important to focus on the long game. It\u2019s easy to get frustrated or upset over small things but it\u2019s important to remain joyful and enjoy the good things in life.<\/p>\n
