Guest FAQ
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by May 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount to provide to our venue and vendors.
Can I bring a date?
Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we are not allowing +1's, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!
What will the weather be like?
June weather in San Diego is mild and warm, typically ranging from the high 60's to mid 70's.
Where should I park?
Important note: Please be sure to navigate to the Inamori Pavilion (2220 Paseo De Oro, San Diego, CA 92101) to access the lower garden, as you will not be able to enter the venue through the Japanese Friendship Garden entrance at Balboa Park.
Parking at the venue is very limited and will be reserved for immediate family and vendors, so it is highly recommended that you use a rideshare app, such as Uber or Lyft.
What should I wear?
Dress code for the wedding is semi-formal. Our wedding colors are rose gold, blush, gold, and sage green, if you'd like to coordinate. :)
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
We ask that you please refrain from taking photos & videos during the ceremony, however you're free to take all the pictures and videos you want during the reception (be sure to tag us)!
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors, with an indoor dinner. You will be free to roam the entire lower garden and pavillon during the reception.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
We will be in a garden with natural terrain and some grassy/rocky areas, so we highly recommend that your wear flat shoes or sandals, or shoes with a chunky, block heel.
Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?
We will have passed appetizers, a dinner buffet served by waitstaff, and dessert, all with vegan options. We'll have an open bar as well. :)
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can roam the garden or head to the pavilion for cocktail hour and appetizers.
What happens after the reception?
After the wedding, we plan on continuing the party at a nearby bar in Downtown San Diego. Specific details TBD.
