We could pick a fancy dinner, but that would be too easy. One person in this relationship is a bit on the nerdy side (and if you know Brett - you know it's definitely not him). On a noneventful Sunday afternoon near Bradley University, the two lovebirds were determined to conquer the Peoria Riverfront Museum's Community Solar System hunt, which is the world's most complete large-scale model of the Solar System. I'll let you take a wild guess on who picked that date...

We're huge movie buffs. Not your typical 'I have every streaming service and don't leave my house on the weekends' couple, but the old school 'movie theater, uncomfortable seat, $10 popcorn' couple. We've made it a tradition to keep AMC in business. Stephanie has even kept every single movie ticket stub from each movie we have seen in the theaters.

I don't know if this is the best but we both remember it vividly. In college, Stephanie once made a chicken pesto pasta... without the pesto. She thought the spinach she added would turn the meal green and give it that pesto flavor! Stephanie claims Greeks don't eat pesto. We ended up in the McDonald's drive thru.

It's definitely San Diego. Brett had the best Old Fashioned he's ever had, Stephanie cried when she saw a hippo at the Zoo for the first time, and we've already been back for a second trip to the Southern California city in just our short four years since college.
