Story

The same week that Brittany was moving out of San Francisco in 2020, she decided to go on one last first date before the big move…

Gil invited Brittany to meet at Fable for dinner. He was a great sport since Brittany had spilt the news about her move only the night before. They spent the night talking, laughing, drinking good wine, and very gentlemanly, Gil was triple checking with the waiter that every item was gluten free for Brittany. The first sign of Gil being the incredibly supportive and caring partner he is today!

The next day, Gil asked if he could stop by one last time before Brittany left and asked the magical question, "Are you hungry?" Brittany and Gil sat in her empty apartment on the floor eating Hawaiian BBQ, realizing that they may never see each other again.

For the next two weeks, Brittany was living in Park City, Utah but was coming back to Tahoe, CA for a dear friend's birthday weekend. Brittany mustered up the courage and invited Gil to meet her in Tahoe for a few days. After some slight hesitation, Gil said yes!

From the moment Gil came to Tahoe, their love story took off! Brittany and Gil spent 4 days in Tahoe, dancing and laughing in the snow, which turned into another week in Zion, Utah hiking, exploring, and accidentally night biking down the side of a mountain.

But once again, their time together came to an end. Gil went back to California for Thanksgiving and Brittany continued her drive cross country to New Jersey to be with family.

A month had past and Brittany again asked Gil to take a leap and come out to see her in NJ. After speaking with a few friends and family on the craziness of this plan, Gil agreed and flew out and spent the holidays with Brittany and her family. The most wild of all 4th dates? At the end of the trip Brittany and Gil knew they needed to give the relationship a real shot.

This time it was Gil's turn to ask Brittany to take the leap. Gil asked Brittany to come back to San Francisco.

Brittany and Gil checked off a shared bucket list item and rented an RV and spent the next few weeks traveling across the country, back to San Francisco to start their relationship and home where they continue checking off adventures, travel, and shared hopes and dreams. And the rest, is history.

Q & A

For all our friends and family, please check out our Q&A!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by April 7th, so we can have an accurate headcount.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, unless you are in the immediate wedding party, we ask that the kids stay home to allow the parents to dance and be present.

What will the weather be like?

During the day, the weather in Graeagle should be humid but a bit chilly around 60-65 degrees, and could continue to get down to the 40s at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening to be cozy.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking at the venue.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes, and we will have a golf cart available for anyone needing assistance getting around the property!

What should I wear?

Please see our schedule for the dress code.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony and reception are outdoors.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

While the area is mostly paved with a path, there are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so I recommend wearing wedges/thicker heels or flats.
