Story
Nathalia:
I was walking to my church's community group on a rainy Wednesday night, when I saw this cute guy right outside of the building I was about to enter, looking lost. I asked "are you looking for the community group?" and the rest is history...just kidding. A lot more had to happen than that! So basically, we both attended this group for a while and became church buds. Apparently everyone thought we were together and we denied it until the very end. We were just friends jeesh! It got to the point that we started avoiding each other -- I vividly remember a day where I did not make eye contact with him even though we were like 3 feet away the whole time. One night I was talking to my cousin Monica, and she said "what would you do if Caleb asked you out on a date?" The next day, Caleb asked me out on a date (although I thought it wasn't a date but a friend thing lol...but that's another story!). And we've been pretty inseparable since.
Caleb:
When I moved to Chicago, January of 2016, I needed 3 things; a church, a job, and a home. I found all three in that order and Second City Church (aptly named as I moved to Chicago to study Improv at that Comedy Center) was my first and last Church I visited. I walked into the sudo-sanctuary that is Lincoln Park High School, and I heard the worship leader, singing her heart out and strumming her guitar. My first thought was; "I would never get a girl like that."
We soon became friends through her brother in law (which was inevitable cuz she was the coolest person in church) and I quickly began emotionally avoiding a woman I knew was a serious person. UNTIL... I was worn down. I was given a gift in her. I needed to know her better. I knew what that would mean. Also, she knew deep cut jokes that no one should know like "I like eggs" which is ridiculous.
