Story
We will have been together for over 9(!) years when we finally get married on 4th June 2022. In that time, we have been lucky enough to experience incredible adventures together, from living apart (hello London hiatus), living together, throwing ourselves out of planes and off bridges, travelling the world, buying a house and welcoming our four legged friend, Lola, into our family. It's been quite the decade!
For us, our wedding is the opportunity to celebrate all of this with our nearest and dearest, some of whom we haven't seen in a very long time. We are looking forward to bringing our family and friends together in Cara's beloved Northern Ireland. It would mean the world if you could join us for our big day.

Travel
Getting In
We recommend flying into either Belfast City Airport (BHD) or Belfast International Airport (BFS)
For those planning to drive, there are ferry ports in Belfast, Larne (30 mins from Belfast) or Dublin (2 hours from Belfast). We'd recommend boarding the ferry in Scotland (Stranraer or Cairnryan) or Holyhead for the fastest ferry crossings. The below website is useful for bookings:
It's going to be a busy bank holiday weekend in Belfast. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.
Where to stay
Larchfield Estate is located only 20 minutes from Belfast City Centre where there are a wealth of hotels and self-catering apartments. We recommend staying in the Cathedral Quarter of Belfast for those of you wishing to explore the city when visiting. Most of the bars and restaurants listed in our guide below can be found in this part of the city.
For those wanting a more peaceful weekend, we recommend staying near the Georgian village of Hillsborough which is very close to Larchfield Estate. If staying more rural, we would suggest hiring a car to explore the area. We have provided a list of alternative local accommodation that is located close to the wedding venue. Numbers of local taxi companies are provided below.

On the night of the wedding we have a limited number of rooms available on site at Larchfield Estate. These will be reserved for immediate family and members of the wedding party. We will be in touch with those guests individually.
We recognise our wedding may mark the first trip to Northern Ireland for many of our non-Irish guests. To help you make the most of the long weekend we have listed some recommendations below of things to do in Belfast, Hillsborough and the surrounding areas. For those spending even longer in Ireland, we recommend hiring a car and exploring further parts of the North including the North Coast. Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by 1st March 2022.
Can I bring a date?
We ask that dates only attend if invited by us. Please check your invite for your +1.
Are kids welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in our wedding, with the exception of family and godchildren.
Where will the wedding ceremony be held?
Our wedding ceremony and reception will both be held at Larchfield Estate. By having both ceremony and reception in one place, you do not have to worry about the logistics of getting from A to B.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting). Our reception will be inside the main barn at Larchfield.
What is a humanist wedding ceremony?
We will be having a humanist wedding ceremony. Humanist weddings put the couple at the heart of the ceremony and celebrate the joy and commitment they are sharing. Humanist wedding ceremonies gained legal status in Northern Ireland in 2018, offering couples a meaningful, bespoke, non-religious wedding that deeply reflects their personal beliefs and values.
For further information please check out our wonderful celebrant's website:
What time should I arrive?
Our wedding ceremony will start at 2pm. We ask that guests arrive promptly before then.
What time will the reception end?
Last orders at the bar are at 1 am, with the venue closing at 1.30 am.
Where should I park?
There is parking available on site at Larchfield. Please let us know in advance if you intend to drive so we can inform the venue. Officially, no cars are to be left overnight, however we can negotiate for a small number of cars to be left on condition they are collected promptly before 12 noon the following day. If you would like to leave your car overnight then please get in touch with us.
I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
Please see our travel section for recommendations. If you would like further advice regarding accommodation then please get in touch.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
We respectfully ask that guests refrain from taking photos during our wedding ceremony. Please feel free to use your phones and cameras to take photos throughout the remainder of the day and during the reception.
Gifting
The most important thing to us is that you are able to celebrate with us on our wedding day. However, if you wish to give a gift, we will gratefully accept a small contribution towards our honeymoon.
Whom should I call with questions?
Please call either Cara (07716686505) or Will (07545574330) if you have any further questions.
