Your presence is enough of a present to us! But for those of you who are stubborn, we've put together a wish-list to help you out, including a charity that is near and dear to our hearts.
Travel
Summer is the high season in Estes Park. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.
Estes Park is located 7,500 ft above sea level. Be sure to drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and bring some warm layers! (Typical nighttime temperatures in the 40s and 50s; daytime highs in the 70s)
Getting In
We recommend flying into Denver and then heading up to Estes Park! If you're not interested in renting a car, check out the Estes Park Shuttle. They run from the Denver Airport every few hours.
Car Rentals
There are a few different ways to get to Estes Park. One option is renting a car! Having a rental will give you the option of getting in and leaving on your own schedule, make it easy to head into Rocky Mountain National park, and do any other site-seeing you may be interested in.
Book through your preferred vendor at the Denver airport.
Estes Park Shuttle
Not interested in a rental car? Make a reservation with the Estes Park shuttle. They'll pick you up at the airport and bring you straight to your accommodations. Shuttles run approximately every 3 hours from 8:00am-10:00pm.
Fall River Village, Filbey Court, Estes Park, CO, USA
The facility offers a number of on-site amenities (like a pool, fire pits, grills, and outdoor seating areas), is walking distance to downtown Estes Park, and the best part: the ceremony and reception both happen on-site! Avoid dealing with taxis (Estes Park doesn't have Uber or Lyft) or driving somewhere after the reception and stay on site if you can.
If you're going to stay on-site, be sure to use our discount code: RIETZSEMELKA
Remember: Summer is peak season in Estes Park. Book early!

Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
What does being at elevation mean?
Estes Park is at an elevation of 7,500 feet: the air is thinner and drier than at sea level, and your body is going to need some time to adapt. Be sure to drink plenty of water (much more than you would drink at home!), take it easy on the caffeine and be sure to eat. People sometimes lose their appetite at elevation, but your body is working much harder than it does at home.
Also keep in mind: alcohol affects people significantly more at higher elevations, and amplifies the effects of altitude. We want to celebrate with you all night long! So start off slow and maybe have some water throughout the night :)
What should I wear?
What do dress codes mean? We don't really know! We hope you'll wear something on the spectrum of semi-formal, festive, or dressy-casual. Basically, something you'll be comfortable in while celebrating, dancing, and taking pictures with us! Still not sure? View this page on a computer (not a mobile device) to see some examples.
Are kids welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, to allow all wedding guests (including parents!) a chance to cut loose and enjoy an uninhibited night of celebration, the ceremony and reception are adults-only.
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Colorado (and elevation!), all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Estes Park should be beautiful, averaging 75-80 degrees, but will get chilly at night (40s-50s). Please bring some warm layers for the morning and evenings, we don't want anyone freezing their bu...well you get the point. ;)
You might also want a light rain jacket - afternoon thunderstorms are common during the summer.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our venue features a rooftop ceremony with the breathtaking backdrop of nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. The reception area on the first floor is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows and an expansive wrap-around deck.
So - both, kind of :)
Where should I park?
Fall River Village has very limited parking (only one parking space is provided for each unit and there is limited event parking onsite). We recommend staying on-site or nearby if you can!
If you don't stay on-site and need to park somewhere, there are several public parking lots that you can walk to the venue from. Some of the lots are free, others cost $2/hour from 10am-6pm. Some spots to look for parking:
- Performance Park (40.376959080362454, -105.52809715720942 Estes Park, Colorado)
- Tregent Park - Free (40.376977591684785, -105.52697275398444 Estes Park, Colorado)
- Tregent Park - Paid (40.376607364425745, -105.52699263537674 Estes Park, Colorado)
Just follow the river walk (heading upstream) from any of these parking lots to Fall River Village!
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them.
I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
Check out our travel section! We recommend staying on-site at Fall River Village or one of several nearby hotels that are walking distance to the venue.
Are masks required? Will they be provided?
We hope that no masks will be required :)
Will the reception be live streamed?
No, we are not planning to live stream the event.
