Story
"The moment of impact. The moment of impact proves potential for change, has ripple effects far beyond what we can predict. Sending some particles crashing together, making them closer than before. While sending others spinning off into great ventures, landing them where you've never thought you've found them. That's the thing about moments like these. You can't, no matter how hard you try, control how it's gonna affect you. You just gotta let the colliding part go where they may. And wait. For the next collision."
-The Vow
Our moment of impact happened as we sat down for a hot cup of tea after missing a left turn which would’ve led me home.
I vividly remember the evening: the mostly empty cafe, the storm clouds rolling in and the soft music in the background as we both sat at our table, a little nervous and uncomfortable for it was our first time hanging out alone.
The rain started pouring as we talked about the silliest things and kept reordering our tea. Those were the best couple of hours I’ve had and our conversations haven’t ended since.
