Tidbits
How did you first meet?
When Chris moved back to Wilmington for work, Chris and Nia ran into each other on Nia's 21st birthday at a classy bar called Red Dog's. Chris had an unusual way of making a lasting impression that night: Chris invented a secret handshake with Nia outside of a pizza shop. Shockingly, that handshake was all it took to have Nia asking "who was that guy" the next day.
Who made the first move? How?
It was actually Nia! After running into each other at the bar, Nia asked around mutual friends if Chris was single and started to try to plan another way for them to see each other. Chris was stoked.
Who's going to take out the trash?
Chris. He's a professional. Ask him about GarbageGo at the wedding ;)
What was your most memorable date?
In Nice, we ate a waterfront dinner at a truly incredible restaurant that was built onto a cliff. What we didn't know is that it was Bastille Day. So, when the sun went down, we were surprised by one of the more beautiful fireworks displays of our lives. The environment + food + that surprise was super memorable.
What's your favorite activity together?
There is nothing we love more than putting on some good music (DJ Chris), making a meal together (Chef Nia) with a glass of wine in hand and candles burning, sitting at the small table in our apartment to eat, and then plopping on the couch afterward for a nice movie.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Coming Soon
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
The one that sticks out to us the most is a dinner in Venice. The restaurant was owned by husband (who was the host/server/bartender) and wife (the chef), and it was such an incredible combination of great food and warm service. It didn't hurt that our table looked out of an arched window into a canal.
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
This past summer we spent 10 days in Italy with stops in Venice, Bologna, Milan, and Lake Como.
