Celebrate with us in Ojai
After getting engaged on a far away island in the middle of the Adriatic, we were excited to find a place for our wedding that was (at least slightly) easier for Americans and Australians to join us and celebrate.
Ojai (pron. 'oh-hi') felt like the natural choice. Growing up, Maya would drive with her parents up the coast for Thanksgivings at Rancho Dulce, or evening walks to Boccali's through the orange groves. And when Chris first came to visit, he was surprised at how the lines of eucalyptus trees and dusty golden light reminded him of his Australian home.
We're so excited to invite you to celebrate with us in this valley nestled in the Topa Topa mountains and soaked in California sun. Below please find information about the 'when, where, and how', which we will continue to update as we get closer to June.

Travel & Logistics
Getting In
Ojai is a 90 minute drive north of LA. We recommend flying into LAX or Santa Barbara (SBA).
From there, there are three options: rent a car, book a shuttle, or take an Uber/Lyft. If you're driving from LAX and have time to spare, we recommend taking the scenic route along the PCH.
For those comfortable driving on the right side of the road, we recommend renting a car for more mobility.
We encourage you to reach out to friends/family who may be arriving at similar times to arrange a car pool.
Wedding Transportation
Shuttles provided for day of wedding! See details above.
Recommended Accommodation
NOTE: Most hotels have free cancellation until at least a week before arrival; we strongly recommend booking a room now (Ojai can be a popular vacation spot) and canceling if you find you can't make it.

Q & A
We'll add more information here as we get closer to the date.
When is the RSVP deadline?
We realize traveling during a pandemic is difficult and unpredictable. While we'd love you all to be there, we understand if you can't make it. If possible, please let us know what you're thinking by May 1st.
What will the weather be like?
Ojai is hot and dry! In mid-June, temperatures range between 25c (75f) to 35c (95f).
What should I wear?
This will be a casual backyard wedding. And it'll be hot. Wear something that makes you feel good and avoid fancy high heeled shoes!
What about COVID safety?
We ask that all guests are vaccinated. All events will take place outside and will not require masks, though you're welcome to wear one if you feel more comfortable. We realize that this a strange and ever-changing time, and we'll adjust as need be to make sure everyone has a safe and fun experience.
