Getting To The Venue by Car

Aldwark Manor is quite easy to get to. There is a fairly rickety and mildly terrifying toll bridge if going via the A59 which costs 40p per car, but for many it will be quicker to go via the A19. If using a satnav/ google maps/ waze etc, ensure you have selected the option to avoid toll roads.

If you do not have use of a satnav or similar, directions are below:

For those coming from Leeds or other places to the south of the venue, head towards York via the A64. Come off the A64 onto the A1237 and follow the A1237 until you reach the A19. Follow the A19 north past the Mercure hotel and after around 8 miles turn left and follow the road for around half a mile past The Sidings hotel until you reach a T junction. From this point the directions for both north and south are the same.

For those coming from the North, the best way is to head towards York via the A19 south and turn right after passing through Shipton By Beningbrough. After turning right, follow this road for half a mile past The Sidings hotel until you reach a T junction.

At the T junction after The Sidings hotel, turn left. Follow this road until you reach a right turn for Newton-on-Ouse just after a small lake. Follow this road through Newton-on-Ouse and Linton-on-Ouse until you reach a T junction. Turn right, then left, and follow this road until you reach Aldwark Manor.

Getting to the Venue by Public Transport

To get to Aldwark Manor by public transport, the best place to start is by going to York by train, bus or coach. From there, a taxi will cost around £30. If going by this option, we recommend sharing a taxi with other guests. You can see who else is coming on the Joy app to plan car sharing.

Registry

Your presence is enough of a present to us! But for those of you who are stubborn, we would love a contribution to our honeymoon. We will have a card box near our guest book on the day, or if you prefer you can send a contribution via PayPal using the link below.

We previously had a link here to a honeymoon fund registry managed by Honeyfund, but apparently new restrictions prevent them from taking payments from the UK and so attempted gifts will have failed. We are sorry if this happened to you, we only just found out about it ourselves.
