The first time we met was; at Sportsman's Lodge in Baudette, MN. I was waitressing in the dining room; he was there with a fishing group. I remember the group because there were a lot of them and they were loud. All I could think of was, "I do not want to wait on them today." I was lucky enough that the other waitress took them. Shawn had asked my fellow waitress if I was single. At the time, I was not.

Fast forward a year and a half later, and I am at college in Grand Forks. Shawn was living in Bejou, MN. Shawn asked me out on a date only a few days later. He drove an hour and a half to pick me up for our date.

After our first date, we spend almost every day together.
