We found love in a (not so) hopeless place, in our hometown of Syracuse. It all started one fateful night at Nibsy's Irish Pub in Tipperary Hill. Even though we had both moved away, Christine to NYC and Kevin to Connecticut, we had both returned home for the weekend for Thanksgiving. Christine received an invitation from her friend, Allison, to attend a party with her. Allison was invited by a guy she had just started seeing, who happened to be groomsman Jeff, and was told to invite a friend since she wouldn't know many people. Christine automatically accepted and went out and bought a brand new dress with her mom that afternoon. Just another night on the town...or so she thought...

Meanwhile Kevin, having done Thanksgiving in Connecticut that year, made a last minute decision to drive home for Saturday night to attend the party, because he helped plan it, and well, it was sure to be epic. We met that night with some help from groomsman Jay, and were soon dancing the night away together, mostly to the highly acclaimed song "Timber" by Pitbull. We parted ways with hopes to see each other again. Little did we know it would be so soon!

The very next weekend, after exchanging casual texts throughout the week and wishing each other a good weekend, Christine decided to attend a birthday party back in New York City. Julia, Christine's friend, had a new boyfriend, and his birthday party was the perfect time to meet him and his friends. She walked into the bar and began looking for the group which she soon found, and in that group...was Kevin! Julia's boyfriend also happened to be Kevin's friend, Tim. Talk about fate! After that, we decided we should try seeing each other again, this time intentionally.

Nearly 4 years later, after hiking in the Hudson Valley on a sunny Saturday afternoon, Kevin proposed. Christine said YES! and we are now planning our wedding back in Upstate, NY, where it all began.
