Story

Wayne and I first met through the plenty of fish dating site. After catching up over coffee and a hot chocolate, we both noticed an instant connection when we couldn't stop talking. After getting to know each other over the next month, Wayne went away to Melbourne for the Melbourne cup races, which gave us some time apart to reevaluate our relationship. Then when he came back we met up and talked about how much we missed each other and knew we wanted to give our relationship a go. With Wayne later on that week taking me to the Warner's at the Bay beer, wine and cider festival, where we enjoyed the day together doing tastings, with Wayne telling me later on he wanted to introduce me as his girlfriend to the vendors. After finshing off the day with some ten pin bowling where Wayne still managed to beat me, while drunk, we went back to my house where he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. The rest as they say is history! As we now have created a beautiful family together with Rylan and Samuel.

We know choosing gifts can be such a pain, there's always the worry of buying the same. Our home has been filled with love and care, and is now full with no room to spare. Should you wish to give a gift to help us on our way, a gift of money would really make our day. Please don't feel offended by this request, as our day is complete with you as our guest.

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by April 2nd, so we can have an accurate headcount. :) Please provide any dietary requirements if needed.

Can I bring a date?

Plus 1's aren't allowed sorry, we will let everyone know personally who's invited

Will the ceremony and reception be socially distanced?

Yes, due to covid rules and restrictions, guests will need to social distance at the ceremony, and remain seated in the reception area. You can move out to the carpeted area near the balcony and move around from table to table. You are also allowed to stand up outside on the balcony and mingle as long as you are social distancing. The rule is 1 person per every 2 square metres.

Are kids welcome?

If anyone would like to bring kids to the ceremony that's perfectly fine. We will just require you to let us know, due to covid reasons we need to know everyone attending the ceremony. However for the reception we have only invited immediate family's children, as well as anyone attending with newborns/infants. So please arrange babysitters for your children, this way you can let your hair down and enjoy your night.

Are masks required? Will they be provided?

Masks will be provided at the ceremony for anyone who wishes to use them, however it is not mandatory to wear them. You are not required to wear a mask at the reception.

What will the weather be like?

We are hoping for it to be a beautiful autumn sunny day. If there is heavy rain or dangerous weather, our wet weather back up is back at Swansea Rsl, upstairs in the function room. Please check this app/website for updates if ceremony is moved to the wet weather option.

Where should I park?

It is a residential street, so please don't park across driveways, otherwise park on the Osmond reserve side of the street along the grass

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes, at the ceremony you can push the wheelchair along the grass to where the ceremony is located. At the reception there is an elevator that will take people with wheelchairs and the elderly upstairs to the reception area.

What should I wear?

Please see our Schedule for the dress code.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, weather permitting, otherwise our wet weather option for the ceremony will be at Swansea Rsl upstairs within the reception space overlooking the balcony with water views.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy.
However, please refrain from sharing photos of us on social media until we can post photos on there ourselves.

Whom should I call with questions?

Please call my maid of honour Lizzy on 0402763021, or my bridesmaid Bec on 0423745156

Will there be toilets at the ceremony

Unfortunately there are no toilets provided at Osmand reserve, so please go to the toilet before the ceremony. The Rsl have toilet facilities, or for anyone who can't hold on I'm sure we could give you our key to our cabin at the caravan park which is located right near the reserve

What if I have a dietary restriction?

If you have any dietary requirements please let myself, Wayne, Liz or Bec know please when you rsvp so we can let the Rsl know

What should/could I do between the ceremony and the reception?

After the ceremony we will have a brief period for mingling, before doing photos with family and the wedding party and then moving onto Caves beach for more photos. Please feel free to move on to the Rsl to the downstairs area to sit and relax, have a drink and enjoy the views. Otherwise if you are staying in accommodation nearby you may like to go back to your accommodation and freshen up.

Is there a gifts registry?

No we aren't doing a gift registry. We know choosing gifts can be such a pain, there's always the worry of buying the same. Our home is filled with love and care, and is now full with no room to spare. Should you wish to give a gift to help us on our way, a gift of money would really make our day.
