The first time Colleen met Clif was at his birthday party. Had he invited her? Ha! No. This was a party his coworkers were throwing for him, and she was invited by her friend's husband. Her friend worked with Clif, and her husband didn't want to be the only non-coworker there. Colleen had just bought a velvet floral romper perfect for going out, so she thought "sure, why not?" After meeting up with everyone at the notorious Unicorn bar in Capitol Hill, her friend introduced her to Clif. He was tall, blonde and wearing a leather jacket. Exactly her type.

They spoke off and on the rest of the night. At one point she thought he left and she had lost her chance, but he was just getting a hot dog outside. He walked her home when the party was over and asked for her number. And as they say kids, the rest is history.
