Story

We first met online 10 years ago. He messaged me via social media and I must admit I thought he was a bit odd! But I message him back, and it wasn't long before we exchanged phone numbers and we were texting on a daily basis and phoning each other and then skyping.

Was a couple years after that we decided to meet face to face, and I flew down to see him. We met outside the Tower of London, I had already walked around and seen it all when he turned up, running late! We then spent the day walking around London, Tubing it as well ( he kept having issues with his ticket so would the tube would take a little longer than it should of!) We went to Camden market, had lunch, Natural History Museum and managed the quickly go round the V&A before they shut. We then spent the evening in Hyde Park.

He then came up for my 21st birthday, and we have been inseparable ever since. We went out for the first year, him flying to see me, me flying to see him, meeting friends and familys.

When we get married, we will have been together for 6 years and living together for 5 years. Angus the Lab will be 4 and Lucifer the Cat will also be 4. Our little family.

Tidbits

How did you propose?

I proposed to him! and not on the leap day either! He was having a rough day at work, and I had been thinking of asking for a while, so I made a sign that Angus wore, I got dressed up, wore a lovely dress, did my make up the best I could and waited for him to come home and see us looking cute. And well, how could he say no?

Who made the first move? How?

He might remember it differently, but I think I made the first move. I had to hint pretty heavily that I wanted him to ask me to be his girlfriend!

What was your most memorable date?

I would say our first, the day we spent in London. Followed closely by the time we recreated it, we spent the weekend in London and then went to Harry Potter as an extra treat!

What's your favorite activity together?

Walking Angus, and sitting in the sofa doing sod all!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

North Scotland, so Angus can come and we love the area and beauty up there.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Our first trip away together, we went to Loch Ness for the weekend for his birthday. We stayed in a lovely little BnB on Loch side, had a gorgeous meal at another local hotel in Fort Augustus and the weather was excellent.

What time should I arrive?

Please aim to arrive for 13:30, as our ceremony is due to start at 14:00. Our photographer will be about to take photos of you all arriving.
This also allows time for socializing and getting to know who is there!

What will the weather be like?

It's Scotland and October, so maybe best to wrap up warm!

Where should I park?

Our venue has its own free parking, plenty of spaces.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes, fully accessible.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Indoors, but there is the option for outdoor pictures as well, providing the weather behaves!

Will I get a chance to take professional photos with the couple?

Of course, we will have a photography student on hand to take photos as our lovely guests arrive, the ceremony and through the rest of the day and evening. I'm sure the groom himself will also be taking photos as well!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Please don't, we have our professional, so please sit back and enjoy the ceremony!
And please do not post anything on Social Media until either the Bride or Groom have posted something themselves.

What is a handfasting ceremony?

Hand fasting is an ancient Celtic marriage ritual, practised in many cultures all over the world and is as old as the written language. It is also where the terms ‘Tying the Knot’ or ‘to give one’s hand in marriage’ both come from.
Connor will be using his own tartan, the Evans tartan, whilst Katie will be Using ancient McRae hunting tartan.

Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?

The obvious colours, but if you wish to stick with our theme, you can wear autumnal colours.

Is there a gifts registry?

As we’re getting married we thought it would be fun,
To move into a brand new home — we need to get it done.
As wedding gifts are bulky and we’re a little short on space,
Some money would be the ideal gift to help us buy our place!

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

There are many wonderful places to stay in and around Perth. Our venue has limited rooms available, but sadly no room discount!
If that doesn't suit, there are many other hotels and plenty Air BnBs to peruse from and book for your stay.

Are kids welcome?

Unfortunately not, use it as an excuse to let your hair down, a night without the kids!

Will food be served?

We are having a three course meal provided by our Venue. There is also going to be a bacon butty buffet & our cake served later on in the evening to provide more dancing energy!
There are also complimentary drinks through the day, but there will be bar as well!

Does your wedding have a theme?

Autumnal colour scheme and vague rustic decorations, with the odd Stag & Angus theme too!

What should I wear?

Wedding appropriate please! We may be young but would love to see everyone dressed up in their finery!

Will there be dancing?

Of course. Can't go to a wedding and not dance!

Will last names be changing after the wedding?

Yes, the bride will be changing her name from Shipp to Evans.

I have a question not answered here; how do I contact you?

Please message either Connor or Katie on 07885 496 612 or 07927 282 286.
