By car - The venue is right next to the A12 in Suffolk, and there is free parking on site, cars can be left at the venue until 10am the following day.

By train - The nearest station is Wickham market, an 8 minute drive away. Dependant on where you are coming from it may also be worthwhile looking at trains to Ipswich (mainline station a 35 minute drive away) or Woodbridge (15 minute drive).

Woodbridge (13 min drive) and Aldeburgh (16 min drive) are both very close and lovely places to stay. There are quite a lot of Airbnb options but as it is quite rural we would recommend looking at accommodation options soon!

On the Sunday we are planning to hire boats at Thorpeness Meare, followed by fish and chips at Aldeburgh and afternoon tea at Sophie's parents in Rendlesham.

Coastal Suffolk is a beautiful part of the country with some lovely estuary and beach areas to visit. David grew up in Suffolk, and with Sophie's parenting have lived here for almost 15 years, it does feel like home, and we would love to show you around!
We are planning to arrange a couple of activities on Sunday, probably this will involve renting some boats at Thorpeness Meare, having fish and chips on the beach at Aldeburgh and afternoon tea at Sophie's parents in Rendlesham.

If wanting to stay a bit longer we would recommend spending time in Aldeburgh and maybe Southwold, and a walk along the rivers at Woodbridge or Iken. Woodbridge and Aldeburgh are both charming and very sweet towns, Snape Matings also is a fantastic location for walks, shopping and concerts with a world renowned music hall, while Orford has a certain charm. If you're interested in history and have seen the dig you may want to pop into Sutton Hoo as well.

The Maybush at Waldringfield and the Ramsholt Arms are some of our favourite pubs in the area, for brunch and a coffee Honey and Harvey is worth a trip.
