FAQ

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

This is an outdoor venue! However, the reception area is on a permanent tent site so no need to worry about potential rain. Most areas are handicap accessible.

What will the weather be like?

As much as you hear about how frigid Minnesota is, we want to reassure you all that it should be quite pleasant during the beginning of September! Think dry and mid 70s to low 60s Fahrenheit (15-24 C). We do recommend you bring a sweater or jacket just in case it gets chilly in the evening.

What should I wear?

Dress code is garden party formal. Some areas of the venue are open lawn so keep that in mind when choosing footwear!

Are kids welcome?

We know that most of you will be travelling from out of town, possibly with little ones in tow! As much as we would love to see your entire family, we do not think this venue is suitable for children under 5 years old (we don't want any runaways!) Please let us know if you need to find alternate childcare if you cannot leave them at home!

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking on site, but we will also be providing a shuttle from our Marriott hotel block.

COVID-19 Policy

In order to keep guests safe, we plan to require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test for all guests. We will also follow state and federal guidelines on the day of the event. Please check back for additional updates.

Our Story

Tidbits

How did he propose?

We had taken a short weekend camping trip to the Eastern Shore to visit a beautiful state park Dani's family used to camp at every summer. One early morning, we went for a walk along the beach to watch the sunrise, and I asked her along the deserted (or so we thought) Chesapeake coastline. An old fisherman walked by and gruffly wished us congratulations.

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

After wandering the old streets of Bari, Italy aimlessly, we ran into an acquaintance from Ireland who suggested the pizzeria down the road in the old town square. There must have been a hundred people packed outside this tiny shop and no one spoke a word of English. But pizza and calzones are a universal language in their own, and we ended going back several hours later that evening for second dinner.

How many grocery store grand openings have you been to?

More than one, which is a lot.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Before Dani began her program in Ireland, we spent a week in Nova Scotia where we got to explore Halifax, Cape Breton National Park, and the Bay of Fundy. In the highlands we stayed in a glass geodesic dome among the orchard treetops and were not prepared for the below freezing temperatures in August. We also were able to enjoy the French-inspired wine country and experience the highest tides in the world.

How has the move to Minnesota been?

Good so far.

The dorkiest thing about us is

We are currently in denial, but are slowly turning into birdwatchers.

Favourite type of bird?

Canadian geese, no question. Swans are a close second.

Your presence is enough of a gift to us! But for those of you who are stubborn, we've put together a wish-list to help you out.
