Special Tidbits

How did you first meet?

Todd and Dee first met many years ago when Todd came to work at the Department of Education. Todd continues to be Dee's go-to for any IT needs!

Who made the first move? How?

Todd made the first move when he texted Dee after he finished refereeing a football game which her son, Blake, was playing. However, Dee did not know it was Todd so she deleted the message. She did not find out it was Todd until a few months later when he texted her again. This time Dee asked who was texting her!

Who's going to take out the trash?

Todd takes it to the curb after Dee gathers it up.

What's your favorite activity together?

We love Friday night football! Todd and the football crew referees while the “Official Girls” have a blast in the stands! We have fun cheering for our referees...in between chatting and catching up!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

We need to plan a honeymoon! On the night of our wedding, we will stay in one of Dee's favorites - an Airbnb!

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Dee and Todd had the chance to go to Haiti with Ken DeYoung and Rick Brown and be a part of the team serving children living in orphanages. If this peaks your interest, check out some of our pictures on Our Photo Album tab.

Q & A Playbook

Check out our Q & A playbook!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by February 28, 2023. For our friends and family who may forget to complete this step, we want you to come join us! Dee said she will wait to complete the "roll call"!

Can I bring a date?

The more the merrier!

Are kids welcome?

This is a trick question! Yes, of course! Anyone who knows Dee will know she wants children of all ages to be with us on our wedding day!

What will the weather be like?

We are in Iowa, in March, it is unpredictable! Praying for warm, sunny weather!

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the wedding is accessible on one level. The reception is at Smash Park on the mezzanine level. There is a flight of stairs to get to the reception area and not ADA accessible. Please let us know of any accommodations needed for you to participate in our celebration.

What should I wear?

The dress code is to wear clothes! We want everyone to come as you are!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The wedding ceremony is in our church. The reception is at Smash Park on the mezzanine level overlooking the main deck and indoor pickleball courts. If we have sunny, warm weather, we may be able to play games in the outdoor area!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take pictures and videos throughout the day. Please share them on our app Joy. Stay tune for instructions on uploading them!

Whom should I call with questions?

Please call or text Dee at 515-868-2372 or Brooke at 515-868-8005! Brooke is better at responding to texts; if you have ever texted Dee you will already know this too!
