Story

The first time we had a glimpse into each other's lives was as a result of a little app called Bumble. For those that don't know what Bumble is, it's a dating app that brings people together in which the girl has to make the "first move" by sending the initial message. Without Bumble, the likelihood of us meeting would have been VERY slim because we lived 100 miles away from each other and had no friends in common. Bumble brought us together and luckily we both swiped right; which is where our story begins.

We first started talking about our love for the outdoors and hiking which evolved into our first date. We decided to meet at Golden Gate Fields in Oakland to attend the horse races... a first time experience for us both! We agreed if the first part of the date went well, we'd finish the date by hiking in the Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park. Let's just say the first date went very well because we decided, instead of heading home after our hike, to continue our date by watching the 49ers game together. Our first date felt different because we connected on a deeper level than on any date before it. It was a special day for both of us and neither of us wanted it to end. The date lasted 13 hours and was the longest date either of us had ever been on.

The first date was just the beginning of many firsts and adventures together. We had our first New Year's Eve in San Francisco, our first weekend trip to Trinidad, CA, experienced our first Valentine's Day, and had many trips to Monterey, CA where we ultimately fell in love. The more time we spent with one another, the easier it was to see that we were two peas in a pod and our love was and is everlasting. ❤️

Tidbits

How did you first meet?

We technically met online on Bumble, but our first date was at Golden Gate Fields and Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park.

Who made the first move? How?

Depends who you ask! 😆

What was your most memorable date?

Our first date. 😊 See our story for more details!

What's your favorite activity together?

Anything involving physical activity including hiking, cycling, and anything involving games. We also love exploring new places together!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

We will spend the first half in Greece and the second half in Italy!

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

Our favorite meal was in Mendocino after we got engaged. The food, wine, atmosphere and cappuccinos were to die for! 😋

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Mendocino, where we got engaged!

We’re on the same page about

Most things. 😊

A life goal of ours

Travel the world including but not limited to Ireland, Greece, Egypt, Italy, Japan, Thailand, and Peru!

The most spontaneous thing we’ve done

Drove up to Tahoe, right after Christmas 2021, while all passes through the Sierra Nevadas were closed due to record snow conditions. Prior to our departure, Highway 50 and 80 had been closed for three days! We decided to take a risk and we ended up being the second car in all of California to be let through the Sierra Nevadas! We had a wonderful time escaping to the mountains. 🙌

The dorkiest thing about us is

We try to out dork each other! We are very competitive. 🤪

We are regulars at

Counterpoint Coffee - A wonderful coffee shop in Seaside, CA. They make really good cappuccinos and have a great environment for working remotely.

Dust Bowl Brewery - We love the outdoor area and the dangly lights! Very chill laid back vibe. Their nachos are out of this world... more beer cheese please! We love going there for a date night or out with friends. 😊

The Beach - Only a mile from the house. We love going to beach to relax, play corn hole, and admire the great outdoors!

We take pride in

Our work. Work hard, play hard!
The food we cook.
Being true to ourselves and each other.
Planning for the future.
