Our Story

The first time I saw him, his goofy self was doing Raas at Tampa Navratri. This was 10 years ago and I thought to myself who does this kid think he is?

Fast forward 2 years later and we end up at the same undergraduate college. We passed by each other several times throughout 3 years of undergrad, not knowing what our future would be! It wasn’t until my senior year of undergrad that I actually noticed him again and this time it was for no reason other then I needed his help with an assignment for a class we were both in. That was the first time we ever spoke!

Eventually I ended up in a lot of classes with his friends. When we would study for tests he would show up out of no where to “study” with us. I would think, why is this kid here he’s not even in the same class. But as time went on I come to find out he had a crush on me and would use his friends to get closer to me. I, of course, gave him no attention. He mustered up the courage to talk to me a few times and eventually asked if I was interested in being an Emcee for the Diwali Show that ISA was organizing. So naturally, my friend and I volunteered. However, according to Dylan, that was his plan all along. This gave him the opportunity to spend more time with me since it required us to meet up often. As weeks went on I grew to like his big smile (I mean his big teeth) and his comb-over hair that he is constantly touching and fixing.

Finally we went on our first date and it was for late night pizza at Primanti Bros on Ft. Lauderdale Beach. We ended up on the beach to star gaze. Three shooting stars passed over us and in that moment I knew this FOOL was going to be by my side for the rest of my life!

After 5 years of intermittent long distance (since Dylan is a year younger -__-) we managed to still find time for one another and our love grew everyday. Since he followed me to undergrad at NSU, then to medical school at Ross, he couldn’t quit then, so he had to follow me to Indianapolis for Residency, which I wouldn’t have any other way!
