We'd love you to join us to celebrate at our favourite place, Em's family home in Moureeses Bay.
Moureeses Bay is a small settlement on the coast, about 45 minutes north of Whangarei. The closest township (Whananaki North) is a 10 minute drive via a gravel road.
Due to lack of parking in Moureeses Bay, there will be no access via private vehicle to the venue on the day.
These are the options for transport:
1. If you are staying in Whananaki North or Whangarei, we will organise shuttles and buses to to pick you up and drop you off. You just need to let us know the address of your accomodation in your RSVP.
2. If you are staying elsewhere, you can drive and park in Whananaki North, and there will be shuttles to take you the 10 minutes over the hill to venue, and more shuttles running on demand to drop you back to your car at the end of the night.
We are so grateful to you for making the extra effort to celebrate somewhere very special to us!
For all of you lovely people who live far away, or who work jobs with difficult RMO units who won't grant you leave, we completely understand if you can't make it. We will look forward to celebrating the next time we see you!

There is no parking available in Moureeses Bay on the 24th of Feb (wedding day), but if you want to drive you can park in Whananaki and we'll have shuttles to take you the 10 minute drive over the hill!
If you are staying in Whananaki, let us know the address of your accommodation and we'll sort your transport.

We'd love to see you to continue the celebrations - come and join us for a BBQ and an aperol spritz or three the day after! Bring your togs and a towel (and a surfboard... although we'll have spares available if needed!)

Are kids welcome?
Unfortunately we can't have kids at the ceremony or reception, but we would love to see them the day after at our beach BBQ! If you are travelling with your kids and need help finding childcare, please get in touch as we do have some insider info/contacts!
What will the weather be like?
Fingers and toes crossed - the weather should be clear and sunny. We do have a back-up indoor plan if a tropical cyclone decides to come our way...! But we expect a warm day, temps can get up to 28 degrees and then cool down after sunset. The ceremony is later in the day, but don't forget sunblock if you're out and about earlier.
Where should I park?
There is no parking available in Moureeses Bay on the 24th (the day of the wedding). If you are driving, please park in Whananaki North (parking will be clearly signposted) and we will have shuttles to the venue departing at 3.15pm (it's a 10 minute drive from Whananaki North to Moureeses Bay) There will be shuttles available on-demand to return you to your car at the end of the night.
There will be parking in Moureeses Bay for the Beach BBQ - you may need to park down the other end of the bay and walk along the beach to the house.
What should I wear?
Beach black tie - interpret as you like. The ceremony will be on grass and part of the reception on sand - please choose footwear accordingly.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Please no phones or photos during the ceremony! You're welcome to take photos and use your phones at all other times. Please don't post photos of us on social media. We're shy.
What if I have a dietary restriction?

What about gifts?
We are so so grateful to you for travelling to celebrate with us, and we realise this will have incurred expense! Therefore, we ask that you do not bring a gift. It sounds stupid, but truly, your presence is gift enough. If you have any questions about this, please talk to Nicki or Lyndie.
Where should I stay?
We recommend that you stay in Whangarei, or in Whananaki North. We will have free shuttles/buses running to and from the venue from these areas. If you want to stay elsewhere (Kerikeri, or another bay on the coast), you can drive yourself to Whananaki and there will be a shuttle from there to take you to the venue. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have questions or would like recommendations for accommodation.
Can I bring a date?
We have pretty limited numbers unfortunately. If your date has not been included on your invitation but you would like to bring them, please get in touch with one of us..

Whananaki Holiday Park And Motels Whananaki North Road, Whananaki, New Zealand
We have booked out the Whananaki Holiday Park in Whananaki North. They have various room types available, from private rooms with ensuites to bunk rooms, and also powered camper van sites and tent sites. If you'd like to stay here you can get in touch with them directly and they will allocate a room to your group. There will be shuttles to take you the 10 minutes over the hill to the venue, and running on demand to take you home at the end of the night.

Apartment hotel/motel in the middle of Whangarei. Rooms have kitchens. There will be buses running to/from the venue (around 45 minutes away)
Otamure Bay (Whananaki) Campsite Rockell Road, Whananaki, New Zealand
If you'd like to camp or bring your caravan, this is a gorgeous DOC campsite situated between Moureeses Bay and Whananaki North. We will pick you up and drop you off again at the end of the night.
